| What do we reckon this week then? Fax performance was the result of too many comfortable games in succession imo. Think we'll be a lot sharper this time.

| Saw them couple of times in cup last year and a very tough side.Batley away is a hard game and probably what we need after poor last game and building up to fev and the French. Add in the cup game and it's starting to get a little more like it for us fans.

| Yet another ref taking it upon himself to keep the score down. Still, much better than last week. Injuries starting to be a concern. Shaw's quicker than I realised. Batley had the best range of kick offs I've seen for a while.

| Batley ask a few questions today of our outside defence, played with pace and accurate passing. Scott at fullback looked particularly good.
Teams are starting to kick at our left edge with some success, and what was going on at the short kick offs ?
Positives from today, good to see Salter back in the and playing well, also thought Johnson showed a willingness for work. Abdul working hard again and Lunty was everywhere.

I think batley are on the level of Halifax so it was good to see how much we'd improved on last week thought we went really well a few bizarre decisions from the ref but getting used to that now Johnson went well and Salter scores a brace so miracles do happen

| Think Batley are better than Fax but difference was we looked much better going forward as opposed to last week. Heffernan eye injury could be a concern.Another game chalked off on the way to the games that really matter.

| Good game, good performance. Referee - SL standard my a*se. Did his best to undermine our cause. Most of the penalties given to Batley for alleged ball steals were extremely questionable.
We bombed 2 chances on both flanks on the opening set through sheer greed and a reluctance to pass on the overlap. I had just finished venting my spleen over this and then I spent the next 3 minutes applauding the skill, execution and pace of the next 2 long range tries.
I saw excellent performances today from Shaw, Moss and Salter that I didn't think any of them were capable of delivering on performances to date. Very pleased. Lawler went well, as did Horne and I was well chuffed with Josh Johnson on debut. Great addition. Jordan Abdull was outstanding in defence yet again.
It's likely we won't have our starting centres playing next week. Worrying crop of injuries picked up in the last 2 weeks. Luckily we have good squad depth, utility and quality this year.

We clocked off for about 15 minutes in 2nd half and scored immediately after we started to play again. Concentration is hard at this level when we're so far in front but this isn't professional enough for me.
Moss had the best game I've seen him play and Salter proved he's still a centre. Johnson looks good running hard and true and a decent odd pass or two (not bad for a forward).
Injuries - I reckon Moss and Minns will be ok but may not be risked next week. Heffernan is a worry. Clark should be back soon. Quinlan may be back for Leigh. At least most of them are young which gives them a chance for faster recovery.
As for Dockar-Clay, really looking forward to seeing him, and IMHO may be on the bench over Easter.

| Don't want to be too much of a hysteric but both Minns and Heffernan could be a couple of weeks to careers over.
Minns has had concussions before and this did for Goulding's career. if Heffernan has a badly detached retina he may be looking at no contact sport in the future.
Good luck to them both they are an exciting centre partnership.

Concussion is always a worry especially when its reoccurring so I hope Minns will be ok to carry on.
With regards to Heffernan. As far as I am aware and according to Sheens, it is a scratched eye (Corneal abrasion) These usually heal without causing any other problem. Even after the original injury is healed, however, the surface of the cornea is sometimes not as smooth as before. Some people who have had a corneal abrasion notice that the eye feels irritated again some time after the abrasion heals.
What is it with centres and injuries, we do seem to get more than our share.
