| As expected we are for all intents and purposes in superleague next season which is a relief to all concerned. Of course this assumes we beat Featherstone by a good margin but they are winless so cannot see anything else.
I'm sure we will hear more from Tim Sheens in two weeks time about the plans but I think we can read much more into his appointment than how good he is anyway.
As already stated we'll be running a 23s set up. Salford have one and it's a major aspect for them and Sheens. The daily mail article spoke about investment so I would hope that involves more back room staff but also investment to pay off players who are contracted but Sheens doesn't rate. We can't continue scraping around the 9-11 spots so cash needs to be spent on clearing out the deadwood. Then I 'm sure we will have feelers out and there was talk of a marquee signing which I think is needed to grow membership sales. Cannot wait to put this horrific season behind us and to start with a clean slate.

I think he's getting a bit ahead of himself we need Leeds to beat Huddersfield and us to beat featherstone by a big margin then even if Huddersfield beat us we would still be above them unless they hammer us like I said were not safe yet

| Look. Leeds will beat Huddersfield and probably by a clear margin. We will beat Featherstone by a large margin. We already have a point difference advantage to Hudds. So we go into the last game only needing to keep it respectable. The job to keep us in SL was effectively done this afternoon. I'd like to say I look forward to playing you next year but with the previous bad feelings between our clubs and fans that's never going to happen.

| We (Leeds) have qualified now so I'm not sure what lineup/attitude we'll go to Hudds with. Anybody playing with a knock or in need of off season operations could be sent away early.
Also if you hammer Fev but lose to Hudds it also opens up the door for Salford to join you on 8 points who are around 50 points behind you in points difference but they have two potential 40/50 points wins coming up with games vs Batley and London.
Personally I do think you'll be safe as I think you'll beat Hudds at home, but definitely still a job to do yet as that game vs Hudds isn't a gimme by any means.

What bloody planet are you on? Zanussi?
You need to do the maths and look at the remaining fixtures? We're not in SL by any stretch yet and as the saying goes, "it ain't over until...........etc"
After today's result against London, I'm happier but far from relaxed or complacent. You on the other hand seem worryingly smug. I would be looking at betting irregularities at your nearest bookies or via your online account if I didn't have a couple of ferrets to sex.

Campo was replaced after 70 minutes to avoid any unnecessary risk and with us up by over 30 points and job done. Lunt came back on to join Marsh in the halves.

Basically said kelly has let down club and fans he won't play next week and hudge doesn't know if kelly will play again for club
On recruitment he felt we've paid too much for some players in the past and that will change. He also said not knowing what league we are in has hampered recruitment and they won't be 12 changes like the other season.

I need to do the maths?
Please read the league table and digest. We already have a better PD than Hudds who were shocking yesterday and who will lose to unbeaten Leeds. We play winless Featherstone next so our PD will be 50 points better then Huddersfield going into the last game. So In the last game we can lose as long as not by 50 clear points. Clear enough?

Problem is, that isn't math, that's just your opinion. Even as a Leeds fan I'm not sure we will win at Hudds now that we've done enough to guarantee safety.

What if Salford run in enough points against London & Batley to overtake our points difference?
4th will be alright...won't it?

No, absolutely crazy on your part to paint a scenario in this way.
As an ardent Rovers fan and a glass half full person, I would love your season ending synopsis above to come to fruition and perhaps it might.
However, your assertive attempts to depict a foregone conclusion scenario with 2 games to go and with multiple permutations still to play out, are deeply disrespectful to the other teams involved and an insult to our collective intelligence and recent experiences supporting this Hull KR team imo. Perhaps it's me being needlessly and cautiously realstic and over reactive towards you.
Hope you don't operate as a life coach with that level of smug arrogance and complacency on view.

In this possible, but by no means certain scenario, Hudds would only need to beat us by 25 or 26. Every point they won by would effectively count double - improving their PD and reducing ours.
I'd actually be a bit nervous about the psychology of 'defending a lead' from minute 1, especially if it was 'only' 12 or 14 points.
First things, first - Featherstone.
The other thing nagging at the back of my mind is that Salford might know they're in the MPG ahead of round 7, and can ease through their last game while we and Hudds exhaust each other.

Leeds beating Hudds is no way a given, as a few have said they are safe and may be on the beach / operating table already. But even if Leeds win by say a standard 12 and we beat Featherstone by say 40 that will give us a 50 points cushion over Hudds, Hudds beat us by 25 and that gone as has been said starting a game out at +25 is a really odd position and attitude wise could be off putting.
Equally Salford will likely match any deficit we put on Feath, so they may have to beat Batley by 50 (less any score we lose to Hudds) not unlikely at all.
Shame that Leigh collapsed a bit on Saturday, had they gone into a game against us having to win by 40+ then they may have rested a few players and made it a hell of a lot easier for us.
I think that all ends up we'll have to beat Hudds to avoid the MPG, who it will be against is anyones guess

| Already stated on another thread. I had not taken into account Leeds absences and in the end we were placed in the MPG by a drop goal that wasn't even in.
Salford will not present us with a real challenge. Sheens has walked tonight and there was enough in our second forty yesterday to show what we've got when up against it. I have no worries about survival. Another season of big changes though puts us behind the eightball. The squad including all the overseas players must be back in pre season first week of November to right the wrongs of this year's disaster.
