In answer to The Silky Polar Bear's original question, the forum is quiet because there isn't a great deal to get excited about. We face another year of transition, also know as being cackamallabab on' t paddock.

We have to explain this over and over to those who don't yet know, but Leeds Rugby Ltd own the rights to "Marching On Together" after they bought them in the great Ken Bates "everything must go" firesale of some years ago, now every time LUFC play the song they have to pay Gary Hetherington the royalties - true story.

But we're not talking about the team are we. We're talking about the odious little creep who owns them, and his determination to get FC out of the KC stadium at any cost.

So any mention of City's possible name change, building a stadium at Melton, hoping they get relegated and possible investment into their team and other related HC issues were just 'side lines' and that's with just scanning through the first few pages.

Know the feeling all to well ftf but listening to other older stuff that I wouldn't have listen too when i was younger , only started to apprieciate prince , Metalica and stevie wonder about 4/5 years ago .. Just started to dig pearl jam at the minute

I can see what people mean about reverting to old bands, I'm having a bit of a Police revival at the moment, but there's so much great new music out there if you're prepared to search a little.

Anyone who likes a bit of riddim should try a bit of the many fabulous Afrobeat bands out there, Antibalas, Chicago Afrobeat Project or Yaaba Funk to name but three.
