I ain't sure Dixon will cut it at FB, in fact I have strong doubts.

Personally I think he's more suited to FB than wing. His lack of height isn't an issue there because he won't have to defend cross field kicks against tall wingers. He'll get more chances to run the ball in open play and he should get on the end of a lot of breaks. His defence is suspect, but as a full back you simply have to affect the tackle, you don't need to dominate it, and how many tackles do full backs really have to make anyway?

I actually agree with all of this. In modern RL wingers need to be tall to cope with the barrage of competed high balls. Dixon's 1-on-1 defence on Sunday during the half he played at f/b was better than I remembered and I think he will compete with Cockayne for the slot all season.

Does he have any experience at this level playing FB, if he has, I can't remember it?

He hasn't played there much but he has done it.

100 % in agreement barnabus with the Blair comment.

I like Donno but he's wasted in either channel. He's a nuggety ruck defender, picking up runs others miss and taking a drive when others are still getting back. Fantastic engine but his carry is the weakest part of his game.
