Had a number of SL clubs after him but has chosen to be part of Chris Chester's Red and White revolution. IMO he is an excellent signing for Rovers and further proof of a statement of intent for next season.

I see Chester has commented on Travis's status in the HDM - as far as he is aware Travis will see out his contract at Rovers. The usual fending off rhetoric? I hope he is right and I hope Travis meant what he said about the thrill of the three derbies (in particular Magic weekend) at the forum the other week.

Tyke never got the first team opportunities he deserved at Warrington although he did earn two CC winners medals. His effort is always there and I'm sure he'll go well at Rovers. I'm told we gave him the chance to return to Warrington but he decided to join you instead. Really good lad who will more than do his bit off the field as well as on it.

Didn't Chester also say " as far as I'm aware Josh is going nowhere", then he was gone within 24 hours lol

Just looked at Norther Pride web site the club he is playing for now they are top of the Queensland Cup competition and are the feeder club for the Kowboys worth a look

His option would have been fringe player again at Warrington earning not much or first teamer at Rovers earning a bit more.

It won't have been a hard choice for him.

Newcastle are a good chance in the NSW cup (second favourites, just behind Penrith).
So you might be able to se Clint Newton beat up this guy and Josh Mantellato score 5 tries against him in his last game in Australia.

He is having a very good game for the Northern Pride against Penrith.
He just scored a try to put NP in front with 8 minutes to play.

Pride won, and McCarthy did some great work in the last 15 minutes. He got back and ran a ball out of the ingoal to stop Penrith getting a repeat set in the last few minutes.
