I no its only one game but Keating a 3rd to 4th choice half back back in the NRL and you can see why. He can tackle but that is it. Offers nothing in attack.

Hodgeson (david) has no flare and again like keating offers nothing and just constantly gets found out and is a season by his sell by date.

I agree with all that. Keating took his try well and think he will get better Hodgson and Welham should be dropped both very poor but for me burns needs to step and take control now

Didnt think leeds were great and we're there for the taking today, just lacked creativity, very poor defence by rovers out wide and edens mistake.

Thought Keating did ok and he wasn't a third or fourth choice nrl player he was in a grand final winning team

I have been consistent in my thoughts on Welham's defensive frailties for a number of years now. It gives me no satisfaction whatsoever to be proved correct once again.

If he had an Aussie accent he would be castigated by the east stand faithful, but as he's a local lad he's always been a terrace hero. Well never in my eyes.

It's not a case of gloating, I'm certainly not gloating because if there's one team I like to see lose more than you it's Leeds.

It's the fact that all pre season we've heard how this is the best squad you've assembled in the Superleague and how your pack will do this and that. Whereas Hull have signed a bin man and a couple of fatties and will have a long season. Well we have found out this weekend that you have a lot of work to do and that our signings actually look pretty good. Do you expect people not to comment?

You've copped a real tough fixture list at the start of this year, and after 5 games I would be shocked if you had more than 2 points. It's important that you don't all jump on the backs of your players like our fans always do. It will come sooner or later. You are still better than Salford imo and should make the 8.

Fan patience is going be essential at the start of this year, we've turned over too many players for my liking, (although a lot of it was necessary) cohesion isn't going to be there until at least six to eight games in. Having said that I thought the support was pretty good yesterday after such a disapointing second forty.

Sorry for that drift, forgot the thread title, can't be bothered to comment more on Welham, unfortunate for Disco, that's a potentially bad injury and he didn't really have many in game opportunities and suffered an unfortunate slip for Moon's try.

I thought Keating went well in the first half and put in a couple of intelligent and well placed kicks. I'll give him a free ride for the second half seeing as he was on debut.

In the second half Keating actually saved certain tries on more than one occasion with good scrambling defence. He took us around the park quite well in the first 40 and then obviously as we were starved of possession in the second half he was peeing in the wind in terms of being able to get us going in attack.

You have a pretty decent side IMO. I predicted you seventh, and Hull ninth. I think the point is (and I am not pointing fingers at anyone specific, or necessarily on here) but a significant amount of Rovers fans were getting way too carried away. The gulf between FC and KR at kick off was huge to some, Keating a world class NRL scrum half, Weyman a human bulldozer etc and FC's team full of garbage.

The reality is probably that the teams will, as usual be fairly closely matched.

I've just watched the tries back on Sky and it looks even worse for Welham than it did from the East Stand. A truly pathetic display.

Hopefully a lengthy spell on the sidelines will follow, but I bet daft lad picks him at the weekend.
