It's like groundhog week.

I am a little confused.
As far as I understood it we had offered Ben a deal but it wasn't what he expected/wanted.
Surely any deal is better than retirement?
Unless the offered deal was small to the extreme.

Thanks for what ben has done. We can all honestly say he didnt unlike some of the others come for the money. But life goes on

Just a thought, but since Ben turned down his offer, Rovers may have allocated the cash to other targets. Perhaps you think they should sit on the cash in case players don't get fixed up elsewhere?

Galea has been a fantastic servant, not only to Wests & Rovers, but to the game. His SL peak was 2009 when, along with Newton they gained SL Dream Team honours in the back row. Unfortunately, time is catching Ben up and at 34 he will miss more and more games through knocks & niggles.

I'm sad to see him leave and honoured to have stood and watched him perform so many times. All the best mate.

I didn't Ben has clearly made a bad call here not HKR.
It's unfortunate but I am suprised that nobody else is going to pick Ben up (I assume that is the reason for retirement).

I always find its best not to assume anything.

He says in the daily rag that he didn't want to uproot the children and his wife just for a year which is fair enough

He's going to be a huge loss to you. A player I would not have minded wearing the Black and White.

Probably best not to make assumptions considering you know f.a about Ben's reasons behind his decision, offers made to him, or anything else.
