Pretty shocking season for us, but thought he would of got in with his try scoring exploits this year.

Proof if ever it was needed that these kind of things are a total waste of time. The best right centre and right winger goes to players that have played on the left all season!!

TBF this season, there's only Welham who has a case this season but it looks as if they've gone with the combination of Yeaman and Briscoe, they've scored a hat full of tries between them this season so it's not such a travesty that Welham's missed out.

Maybe its just me but don't get all the hype around chase. can be good but is decidedly average at times. Briers has been better than hi this year.

Hang on, hasn't Dobbo been in it for the last 2 years? Plus you had Newton and Galea in 2009! So that arguments flawed.


Welham should have been in though, I agree.

Think Green has been overlooked all season, he's been a great consistent performer in a troublesome year for the club. Chase can be magic but not every game and as Robbie Hunter-Paul said he should have had the ball in his hands more through the game but that just shows he flows in and out of games whereas Green is always buzzing around.

Not sure you can just pick a player for try scoring alone and I think as much improved as Welham has been this year his missed tackles column is hard to overlook. Between Yeaman and Briscoe they have scored I think close to 40 tries and without a regular half back pairing too.

The one thing I think Mac should be looking for in the England side is a future regular in that position and someone who is dangerous from all over the park with strength to get over the line and good with high balls. Welham I think has improved greatly and should be given his shot in the 4N's, he can't do any worse than Atkins!!!

Stop derailing the thread - that mumbo jumbo should be on the rumours thread; not true anyway the club have moved on so its about time the fans do aswell, he had his send off at the weekend and thats him and rovers no more.

Monoghan plays on the right for Wire but is on the left in the dream team so what. they've picked who they think have been the best two wingers and best 2 centres, which ever side the play on.

I thought Welham would have got in the team before Carmont, even Ryan Atkins would be in before Carmont IMO.

Indeed, yet more reason to do away with this annual nonsense, else we will end up with a team of utility players.

Carmonts had a great season for Wigan this season.

Carmont is simply excellent. An unsung hero of Wigan's resurgence IMO.
