Baby Eve born last night at 11:56, both mother and daughter well.

Incidentally she was born in the birthing pool and our midwife had just started her shift when we arrived and it was our midwife from Jubilee, couldn't make it up.

Oh and before I forget (the tiebreaker on all bets) she was 8.7lb.

For the record I had my oldest 2 christened in a silk gown (we are not particularly religous but a good excuse for a p*ss up), however my youngest (the brainy perv one) never got christened as a baby, we kind of forgot about him so he got christened when he was 5 with his cousin and he choose his outfit, he dressed as James Bond, tux the lot

I like it when people agree to be God parents at Christenings and then make the fatal error of admitting to the priest/vicar/other religions and denominations are available that they themselves haven't been Christened. The vicar etc. then insists that they themselves be Christened.

I attended a Christening where my favourite "baby" was a very embarrassed looking "Baby Janet" who was at least thirty seven.

Not a big fan of Christenings to be honest, it's not really acceptable to get really drunk and there's always a hoard Daily Mail reading Aunties clucking away in a corner about single mothers and immigration. I can never resist, hilarity rarely follows...
