Heard today that to make up for the shortfall in Council funding etc etc that they are looking into a review clause in your tenancy with the intention of bringing the rent inline with the current financial climate!!!

Have no idea if true or not...anybody else heard anything along those lines?

Yeah, it's going up to £504,000 per month, We need to sell 14,000 adult tickets per home game just to pay the rent.

Don't think we have an annual review - so perhaps just wishful thinking... I'd be more worried if I was playing in a stadium that we have no control whatsoever with... wherever I lay my hat... or fez or whatever!!!!

I think that it is pretty obvious that Stan has got wind of our Chairmans programme notes, put 2 and 2 together and came up with 5.

The primary lease is between the council and Kingston Community Development Limited (formerly Gaingroup) and is a peppercorn annual rental. KCD sublet to Rovers.

I believe the land is still owned by HCC and leased to KCD who sublet it to HKR.

You don't think KCD would attempt to recover any increased costs from their tenant if it was allowable? OK then.

I'm not sure why it matters, If it goes up we'll just go bust, Merge with Wakey and become Hull Wildcats for a season. Then we will revert back to Hull Kingston Rovers and claim to be established in 802 A.D.

Speaking of rent agreements, the other week when Assem Allam was looking to buy the KC stadium, he told 'Smack my bitch up Burnsey' that he could happily stay with the current rent agreement which was in his words "only a few thousand a year". When City and Hull moved in, I can remember the term peppercorn rent being thrown around and that both clubs would pay a small amount per season for the first few years, well it's almost ten years now, so the question is when is the council going to charge the going rate for playing in such a facility rather than "just a few thousand a year?"
