| There was a general consensus of "What???" around me when that was announced! I personally thought Cockayne was by far Rovers best player today. No one else really stood out

| Hall for me but Cockayne can certainly can hold his head up high, Newton looked half injured for 40 mins of the game.

| To be fair to Clint, he looked embarrassed recieving the award in the bar afterwards.
Welham
Hall
Cockayne
Only 3 to gain credit today for me.
Green's 2nd try was a belter though.

| Newton no way match of the match spent half of the second 40 injured should have been changed, Charlie, green and Hall all played well, Hodgy for 19 yrs old gave another good account, but mom for me Briscoe took his try well and put his body on line a few msistakes i agree but so did half the team. All credit to the 4 or 5 catalans fans who whee in the golf stand.

I have to take issue with your rating of Hogson!
I like the lad and think he has been good since coming across but boy did he have a mare today!
First of all I have never seen a hooker tap the ball out of their own hands before. :lol. Secondly what on earth was that wild 30 metre ball on our own line? He also made quite a few handling errors that weren't forced. He is 20 as well btw.
I thought Newton was non existent in regards to the op.

That just about summed the whole day up
(as well as the 2 balls out to Foxy's wing when he was inside Hall)
Nightmare!!!

About sums up the 30 years of non-winning , to be followed by another 30 years of non-winning unless Hudge wises up, of Hull KR mentality...Welham was about as bad as it gets today and yet the no nothings about RL laud him because he is a Morgan love-child..the guy is rubbish and the sooner Rovers realise the better...Hall showed more Rugby skills in 1 game than Welham has in his career...

Hall had a good debut, nothing more, did nothing special but on a day when so many did so much wrong he looked ok. Welham did alright again that makes him better than most, and I think he looks like has improved this year and looks pretty dangerous ball in hand and his defence seems to be better timed. All I can assume is he must have been sh@gging your missus or else your vitriol seems slightly skewed.

THE GUY IS AN ATHLETE ONE HIT IN PARTICULAR WAS NOTICEABLE. I WATCHED HIM ALL THE GAME HE WAS EVERYWHERE. THE BEST IN A VERY POOR OUTFIT. WE NEED DOBSON BACK BADLY OR WE WILL BE HEAD TO HEAD WITH THUNDER FOR THE WOODEN SPOON FACT!!

| Cockayne without a doubt. hes not the biggest but has the biggest heart of the lot and its a shame the likes of Vella and Clinton cant run as hard as he was doing yesterday, put some big tackles in too, its a real shame the other players couldnt pick up on his energy and respond with some of there own.
Hall stood up well in defence,
Green started well but faded behind a well beaten pack
Welham was average IMO

| One or two strange opinions on this thread. For starters Kris Welham is a very good player who is shining example of how hard work and dedication can pay off. Thought he went well yesterday in comparison to most others.
Also thought that Josh Hodgson worked his socks off and his errors were a result of fatigue. He has played more minutes in the last 2 games than he has ever played before at this level so he was bound to tire late on. He will be better for it though and more equipped to do the minutes if required later on in the season. If anybody is to blame for his mistakes it is Justin for not using his interchanges accordingly to allow for Murrell or Cockayne to have a spell at hooker.
Clint Newton probably wasnt man of the match but he was a real workhorse and despite being clearly injured was doing work that his props should have been doing. How many times did he hit the ball up from penalties? I think our front rowers need to have a long hard look at themselves this week.
