Obviously Hull were always going to target someone so inexperienced and it was a difficult match for someone who's only played a few games but I don't think he looked out of his depth. Yes the lad made mistakes but I thought he generally did ok and can only benefit from the experience. Its good to see you giving young local talent a chance and I think he has a promising future.

I'd like to thank young Sam for giving me a good laugh. My old lady could have done better than this kid. What was Justine thinking playing him in a derby, he was way, way out of his depth.

Sam Latus did very well in his first three super league starts in an unacustomed position when bought in to fill a back position decimated with injuries. He was, unfortunately, a major factor in hull's " cup final " win.

Sure, like other young players, he will have benifited from his experiences and will continue to progress with a full time contract next season.

When you compare the lad's performance to both Fox and Calderwood who are both far more experienced than him I don't think he can be unduly criticised.

I think G Gekko is confused as to why people think the wing is alien to Latus when the reality is that he has probably featured there more than any other position in his 3 seasons at Rovers going through the grades.

Glad to hear we've kept faith with him for the Bradford game. Two mistakes in a high pressure game do not make him a bad player.
