My only real gripe with Silverwood is that he seems to become the focal point of the match. However, if his decisions are right you can't really complain even if it does kill the flow of the game.

Lets hope he's watching for ball steals, blatant knock ons and offsides from Kicks through this week

I used to really dislike Silverplank, because a) as Bobbin' Along says, he used to make the game all about him, and b) he used to wear [ithe most incredibly[/i tight shorts, you could tell if he'd been circumcised (he hasn't, my mate who stands next to me checked, I averted my eyes).

However, last season he seemed to loosen up a bit and actually put in quite a few decent displays. Around the same time he started favouring a much more generous cut of short. Coincidence? I think not.

The moral of the story is, if you want to be a decent referee, let 'em swing, let 'em breathe, let 'em swing.

Unless you're Terry Halibut and then you're just rubbish.

If he's not allowed two games in succession the only ref available is Ron Laughton seeing as widnes was postponed his original appointment! Unless they swap around a bit a give us the only superleague ref in the country who's not done a game so far, Alibert and give Cas Barrow Laughton!

In all fairness I'd rather have Silverwood.

Don't give much for our chances after witnessing his performance yesterday.
