cant see him playing the blame game myself; as everyone knows - hes a rovers fan and has stated he wants to leave it in good hands WHEN he leaves, so he can watch it as a fan again... therefore cant see him trying to blame anyone.

But id still say that i agree and we are at a stage were it is more then likely make or break - Big plans for stadium, therefore need enough money and backing from Big people - if we dont get it then who knows... we might lose our SL place then the dark ages over again.

So id say he has a valid point.

This is your second attempt to get someone to agree with your view that Hudge is wanting away, and like the 1st attempt, you will fail because everyone else on here doesn't agree with your bitter & twisted view on our club & Chairman. I read that article as a rallying call for the public of East Hull to back the club. You obviously specialise in "between the lines" reading with your B&W goggles. And for the record, I have no interest in any statements made by James Rule, because he isn't involved in my club.

I read it as a rallying call for the council, businesses and wider community to back the club. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but he's clearly saying more than "So long as we get 10,000 fans at every home match then everything will be ok".

Thats how I read it, along with the sun article which was aimed at the RFL. Personally think Hudge is stoking the fire under the council / development bodies with a view to getting funding.

And why shouldnt he? preston road area is getting improvements done and i think theyve stopped at marfleet lights, because the closed down school and the area in general is run down and could do with a pick me up - and if rumours are true, then east hull will be moving to that school field, and with the area around craven park a new northstand would greatly start the improvements needed.

Maybe if your club had shaken off their small club mentality when the kc was offered to them they wouldn't be having to beg and scrape for a smaller version of the kc as fudge wants now!!

A club in SL finds it cannot compete at the top level just on gates and sponsorship. In order to maintain their status the directors of the club lend it large amounts of money to enable this. The loans pile up and at some point the directors start wanting their money back. Does this sound familiar to any fans from across the City?

Look at the full picture not just the SL years, then look at the future of both clubs as it stands.

10 years of playing RL in my dim & distant past taught me a lot of things, not 1 of them will be relevant to JM or RA when it comes to team selection on 17th Jan.

I agree, however I believe the problem may be that although he runs a successful business, he appears not to be as successful with running the club, I believe this is because he is a fan and it gets personal who knows, however whilst this is happening I am not sure he will get the backing he wants, I believe it would be beneficial for the club to put in some-one who will approach it as a business venture, not be interested in fc and stay focused on their own club without petty rivalry, until this happens I am afraid the problems will carry on and investment will not be so forth coming.

I'll give you a clue, one has a successful, sustainable business plan, the other has spent money they can't pay back and is now begging to anyone who'll listen to bail them out. I'm looking forward to our future, are you doing cartwheels about yours?

Especialy if, what i heard is true in a meeting last week, that a proposed rent increase on the kc is been considered at some point in the future,from its present ammount to approx 1.8 million.
Hull would be required to cover around one third of the increase which would amount to app 300,000 per annum, this could well be beyond Hulls capabilities and would put them in a situation where they would have to possibly look elsewhere.

And so the smc would do what to replace FC's contribution?
