A step down, Lynch, Scruton and Bailey would all do, but would be equally unavailable, I expect.
If we take a gamble, I'd consider Thackray - the worry being that nobody actually seems to be. Bibb would be an 'up and coming' option, but with all the departures from Belle Vue, you'd assume he has a bigger role to play there.

So, given that the shelf seems to be barer than Soviet supermarket's meat counter, we have to be looking in another hemisphere. (Sorry for not running with the fantasy riff - [iSione[/i Lauaki would be good for a laugh and Moimoi was the best prop on the park vs Aus at the weekend)
Of those we've been linked with Clinton sounds excellent. Kaufusi has had a poor year apparently, but would be worth the gamble from the extensive research I've done on his Wikipedia page. Willie Mason would not, IMO.
