First time ive seen this kid play and he looks a good one,good all round game in attack and defence.
Hull KR have come along way in short space of time they look the real deal.
DRIGHLINGTON'S finest had a sound game.

I think Welham is coming along nicely and will develop in to a real quality centre if he carries on progressing the way he is. Just wish he wouldn't jump out the line so much! But he is still young and learning so can't criticise too much.

). He had a much better game last night, been suffering with a form dip of late, but seems to be making progress on getting back to his best, as so it seems are the rest of the team.

He is actually playing to orders in that respect.

He maybe, that I don't know, but it costs us sometimes.

And sometimes he shuts down potentially dangerous plays. I wouldn't discourage him from doing it and as he gets more experience he'll become a better reader of the game and make more correct decisions (which I think he does anyway, to be honest).

Actually think that's one of his strong points, Webster's too.

Not knocking him, as think think the lad is a cracking player for his age and he will only get better.

Then those orders are seriously wacked. He misses the tackle 9 times out of 10.

No I watch the game do you?When he jumps out the line more often then not he misses the tackle.

Not clear on jumping out and missing tackles then. Dont get me wrong, if a player sees the play and knows he can stiffle it by going early its a bonus. Welham doesnt do that too often yet.

He is doing what his coach is telling him to do. When he gets it right, which he does more often than not, its a set killing play. He may mistime it from time to time but he is still a rookie and will get better at it.

I can't recall too many tries being scored directly as a result of him missing his man anyway.

Dont get me wrong, not arguing but Webster in my opinion does it so much better when it goes right.

Webster is exceptional at this. Walker is bloody awful. Welham is somewhere in between.

I think centre's the toughest defensive job on the pitch. He's young, still learning & getting better. Give him time.

I can't understand people that criticise the centres for jumping the line though (or those that can't see Nethertons worth).

Generally not, defence and hard work usually goes unnoticed..
