| I think a bit expensive really. Well i guess it depends how much they will be putting up the passes. Also they are trying to say if you want to be in the north stand for the derby you have to spend £60 as that would only leave 1500 tickets and thats not including if other people join it after the 2500 ltd edition runs out

| Am I the only one who thinks this is a rip off?
bearing in mind the current recession the club want an extra £60 and in return they'll give you some discount on some items and a game, access to a web tv channel(which other clubs provide for free) and freeze you season ticket price.

Maybe the cynical supporters amongst us will see it as a rip off.
I personally think it's good that the club are being proactive by exploring new income streams to help aid off the field developement and are rewarding fans that are willing to contribute.

Agree it's good they are being proactive but I would have thought they would come with a better ideas than this.

| Glad to see the Virtual Season pass is being retained, in the guise of the 'Roving' membership. If I'm one of the first to join, would I still get the guaranteed KC derby ticket, or would that be 'normal' members only, do you think?
On sale tomorrow, so I hope it is nice and clear what you get. The upgraded website is much more user friendly, in fairness.

I get that anyway. You'll be paying extra for it though, in the same way a season ticket is extra on top the membership.

| I reckon there'll be a fair few who just simply can't afford it. Interesting that it's free for kids but no age limits are shown, I regard my 16 year old as a child until she is 18, but she is no longer eligible for the JR's so I'm guessing she won't be eligible for this either. Also, for a child to register for free, do they have to have a parent registered? Still seems quite a few grey areas.

| Gonig through all the perks seperately and it is actually quite worth it. It will save about £40 - £50 and then the extra £10 you have spent is on the Rovers TV (which other clubs do for free anyways) and these 'special events'. I'll be joining anyways.

How much is the saving worth on the season pass, i.e. the difference between the 2008 frozen price and the new 2010 season pass price if you don't participate in the scheme?

| Also, which season pass price are they freezing, the discounted one or the normal price. Don't know what prices the season passes will be for next season, but if this is such a great incentive, I can't see them offering a discount on season passes aswell. Bad news for those of us not joining 'the club'

The confusing thing is you don't know what the benefits are "worth". Let's say 2010 passes are only £5 more than the frozen price. Wouldn't you then be paying £60 out now to save:
£5 on your pass in September
£10 max on your shirts in December
£10 on a derby ticket next July
or have I missed something? How can you judge the value of the £60 unless you know what you're going to save compared to not joining?

| whats the point in the membership then?? seems like rovers board are trying to get extra cash in the bank because they cannot attract large gates, £60 for afew gimmicks is abit steep in my opinon, if you was to become a member you should get a free shirt for starters not just a poxy £5 off at the "superstore"...

Or maybe he just wants the money up front, to pay for the East stand extension?

There you go then, in that case you spend £60 now and save:
£36 in September on passes
£10 in December on shirts, if you can afford the 80 odd quid for both
£10 next July on the derby
Total savings of £56 . You can then weigh this £4 difference up against the extras of unspecified meet-and-greets with the players and the Rovers tv that only members get access to. Main problem is you don't get payback for a whole year.
I'd be surprised if season pass prices for everyone else went up as much as that, though, in the current economic climate - 20% would be a massive increase. £215 is more than we pay at the KC and we get until the end of December to pay. Admittedly, paying the same to watch Rovers would be better value from a rugby perspective.

I take it you won't be joining then? It's really pleasing to see many non-Rovers fans paying particular interest in this scheme, weighing up the pros and cons before deciding whether its for them or not!
