If Long stays fit, its a great signing for Hull.

When the news broke that Long had signed for Hull, I was sat in a room with a Hull fan, who was laughing with jubilation.

As for Dobson i would shocked if left Rovers as he seems to be happy and your team is doing well and I think Saints will stick with there young players.

He'll be well into his 34th year by the time he makes his Hull FC debut, While a good player in the Saints side it will remain to be seen what effect he can have on the Hull side

I think he will have a good effect and if we can get one really good year out of him than I will be happy, his fitness record is pretty good recentley.


Just the type of player we need and i doubt that a better Scrum half becomes available for next season and if they did Wigan and Warrington will also be after them and we would have to pap well over ths odds for them.

It's funny because the said Hull fan was jubilant, over the moon in fact that his club had signed Sean Long, yet I can see that he is an over aged, no doubt over paid player who has been snapped up by Hull in a panic driven recruitment drive. Add him to a long list of similar players because let's be fair, the club you follow does make a habit of signing such players.

He is an improvement on Thorman, that I have no doubt, he is british which is also a bonus, but a decent signing all round at this stage of his career, no.

My dog playing would be an improvement on Thorman.

He is better than decent, he is a very good player still and proves in most weeks at Saints, he would be the first choice SH at every SL club baring Rovers and Leeds now.

I think i will take Potters and the Saints fans who watch him every week over yours.
