My oldest son lost his first tooth this weekend, when he was asleep I sprinkled glitter over his bed so he'd think it was fairy dust. He loved it, although he was slightly disappointed not to be flying around the room all morning. Kids are ace!

Aw that is so sweet bless him did you leave him sum money under pillow, now when my daughter who Is 12 loses a tooth she asks me how much I'm gonna leave under her pillow if it's not enough she says il put it under pillow at dads then it's like il sell my teeth to the highest bidder

So back from V festival and it was a great.
Best act on show was Example now although he isn't my cup of tea I can admit that he actually smashed it at Weston Park yesterday.
Other highlights were Tinie Tempah (Again not my thing), Tom Jones and of course Madness (As classics are).
The Indie boys were great as well but I am a little biased on that score obviously.

Some other things were great don't get me wrong.
The Killers were The Killers end of.
John Squire is a genius on the guitar and I would arguably put him in the top 10 if not higher.
Was surprised how well the Ting Tings went as well.

But to get back to it some acts just 'get' a crowd and Example did exactly that on the day.
Unfortunatly Tinie Tempah did also put on a damn good show.

Saw them in Melbourne a few years ago, they were brilliant, highlight of a festival which included Artic Monkeys and the Prodigy.

Aren't you a bit old for festivals? I imagine you as Terry Scott in Carry on Camping.

My young one is going to Leeds fest tomorrow (early bird tickets) his first festival alone, got to admit I am a bit worried, being talking to him about the importance of drinking water, keeping hold of his drink to avoid being spiked, putting suncream on etc...He just looks at me with that glazed look 17 yr olds have

I've just got back from a trip into town, can't believe how empty the place was. Hardly any shoppers & loads of empty shops, even in Princes Quay. Its been a good while since I've been from one end to the other, I hadn't realised how bad it is.

The city centre of any city should be a hive of activity.

There really is no age limit to festivals. I'm planning to re-visit Glastonbury next year, after an absence dating back to 1995.

It is sad. I know whenever I go to Leeds or Manchester the centres are heaving, day & night.
I suppose it's people like me that have forced some of the closures, the reason I haven't been for so long is I do most of my shopping online, or I just pop into St Stephens get what I want & then go.
