It's a fair point. Morgs uses the phrase "runs on the board" and Vella has this in bundles, so he would undoubtedly go straight back into the 1st team, as will Briscoe for the same reason.

He tries to do everything every week, need more cohesion between the halves IMO.

I thnk Cooke has to have a spot for his game winning potential, he can create a winning pass out of nothing, Chaz has played wel, but mainly because we have played well as a team, I don't think he has the skill as an individual to turn a game if we need it.

Warrington may come a little early for Cookie but if he is fully fit & ready to go then we would be silly not to select him.

I'anson hasn't really been noticeable in the last few games he has played.
I suppose this could be seen as a plus but not really for a stand off.
Maybe just needs more game time.

You came to that conclusion without having seen any of his games? What insight you must have.

I have seen all his games, and my opinion is if Cooke is fit he should play.

I'd go with I'Anson for Wire away and let Cookey have a game in the reserves for match fitness and to check his wrist in a competitve game.

Then I'd bring him in for Salford to get him ready for his trip to the KC

I'Anson hasnt made any headlines since being in the team, but that doesnt mean he has let anyone down. Hes performed consistently ok.

A fully fit Paul Cooke should be picked over I'Anson anytime.

With Cooke being instrumental in the win at wire last year I would expect Justin to put him in if fully fit.
It will also take a bit of pressure off Dobson as Cooke doesn;t play wire will target Dobson. With Cooke on it gives us another option and them someone else to worry about.

I'de play gallea at 6 against WIRE could see some bullying tactics on the cards against them. Cooke for me should be on bench if fit against SALFORD then start against CELTIC in the cup ready for the derby

Agreed, doesn't stamp his mark on the game enough for me. He looks good with ball in hand when he gets it.

Yep, also he doesn't really create to much, can't really fault him though, he's done well in the game he has played in.

Last season cookes influence on the warrington away game probably won us the game so I think we should put him in if fully fit

chaz put a brillient ball in for gelea to score at saints and hit tackling is better that cookes id like to see cooke on the bench and chaz allowed to keep his place as you all keep saying he hasnt done anything wrong to warrent being dropped.

TBH i think Galea made that try for himself with the quality of his run.
No disrespect to Chaz but i dont think he has done enough to cement a place.

I'anson is certainly an able backup to Cooke, but like it's been said, at least for the time being and the not so distant future - a fully fit Cooke will be in at stand-off.

Just hope it doesn't knock Chaz's confidence too much if Cooke is picked ahead of him.

Maybe see him on the bench at first. Covers the halves and loose man, and a useful weapon to bring on if things aren't going our way. As we did at the HJ stadium last season IIRC.

Consistently is the key & he will only continue to improve with each appearance he gets – don’t think many would say he’s been a letdown. It will be good to see Cooke back this week if fit, get him straight back into it for our first of 3 match ups with Wire this season.
