What will be interesting throughout the season will be how many times he is penalised. I would expect it to increase as Leeds players seem to have an easier time than players from both Hull clubs. I will be interested to see how the Leeds fans rate him now he has left, they've lauded him for years (TMFMISL ?). I wonder what they'll say if he gives Sir Kevin a sly one off the ball?

As a Wigan fan I'm really happy about this move. You always want Bailey to get snotted but it's hard for the players to afford him too much attention because there's so many quality players to worry about at Leeds. Against you guys it shouldn't be a problem to focus on smashing him about and still come out with the win. I think he's in for a really bad time next season

True enough, we normally do! Bailey used to be useful at Leeds pre-2013 as a distraction, so the quality players had more room to manoeuvre and the opposition give away penalties. I just can't see it working the same way at Hull KR

Bailey was very good value for money at Leeds. The idea that he is a penalty machine is laughable. Teams like bitter Wigan, Hull and, most memorably, Warrington in a Grand Final, managed to get preposterously distracted by his ability to (legally) wind them up. One of his most succesful roles at Leeds was to win penalties and he certainly won more than he ever gave away. The TMFMISL tag is an ironic reference to the unhinged loathing fans of clubs like Wigan have for Leeds' third or fourth choice prop - entirely disproportionate to the role he played or any so-called dirty play beyond that you would expect from a prop.

But he was never on the big money some of his team-mates were at Leeds and, having had his testimonial and finally completed his club medal collection he now gets the chance to be a leader and earn the money someone with his CV probably deserves.

surely next season will show whether or not hes a good signing i personally am not a fan of his but he may prove to be an astute signing ..time will tell

I am really pleased with this signing. Think he go well for us and I think it's a good move for him too. The sqad is shaping up very nicely.

Good signing by chester with who is available on the market and the late notice Costigan gave your club decent replacement he is a player everyone loves to hate but he has been a regular in a very good Leeds team for 10 years so must have ability and be professional off it, no doubt he will add spice to this years derby matches, but at the moment you must be worried about who you have let go and who there replacements are. I can not see any replacement at the moment who is better than you had, for your sake you had better hope the recruitment is still on-going or I can see you scrapping with waky this year for 12th and I am not just saying that to wind you up I would much prefer to see us both scrapping for 1st and 2nd ( before you ask I think we will scrape 8th)

Just out of curiosity, if we were scrapping with Wakey to avoid twelfth place, why would finishing eleventh be better?

It wouldn't be just saying where I think you may finish with the recruitment you have made thus far and the players you have brought in and like I said Baily is one of the better ones but is he better than Costigan, is the French hooker better than Josh or the halfs better than the ones you had ? your outside backs look ok but if you can not get the ball to them their wasted ie like Brisco was at FC great winger but how many tries did he score not many and if your forwards can not get over the opposition team, it makes it hard for the backs to be affective, look I'm giving an opinion if you are happy with who you have brought in that's fine, I think in comparison to who you have let go there not up to the mark but for your sake it may not be over yet, I hope where both in the top 8 scrapping at the end in the play offs, where our fine supporters of both clubs deserve us both to be, as a reward for our loyal support throughout the year

I think poaching may have been an influence on Bailey coming to Rovers ,I also think there may have been a few more clubs interested in him.Dont forget he turned down a move to the NRL last year so he could take his testimonial.That nickname TMFMISL was started by Bloodbath from the Leeds forum as banter on that board only,but it carried round and added to his persona, it actually wound rival fans up.
