Always surprises me when curry houses stint on rice. Never happened on Wilmslow Road. Carrot curry with egg for me tea tonight, apna style.

We stayed at a place called Morgan's, very chic, Phillipe Stark kind of thing, staff in Armani.

I've never known tipping like it, the cheeky swine's would bring you a knife, then a fork, then maybe a napkin and want tipping every time.

I think they still do that, I couldn't believe someone had chosen to go there. I can remember going in Hull back in the early nineties and it was rubbish then, I assumed they'd have died a death by now.

We're having some sort of Ms. Terrorist concoction tonight as I'm having my hair cut. Can't stand having my hair cut, is there anything more boring, same flipping conversation over and over again. I have to get my hair cut every three weeks because it grows like Play Dough Bob Shop.

Ms. Terrorist is supposedly dieting so it'll be some low calorie horror no doubt that'll be supposed to be something but as the recipe will use all the wrong ingredients will taste nothing like the supposed dish.

I remember we went to a plcae in Times Square for food and they had a guy in the bogs who wants to dry your hands and squirt you with aftershave!!! For a tip, of course. I found myself "holding it in there after" to avoid having to avoid him.

We weren't allowed up Statute of Liberty in 2004 so they must have closed it indefinately in 2001. I remeber it being smaller then I expected with Central Park being a gazillion times bigger then I expected.

Just got back from dentist.....mouth numb & swollen and Mr Manu (not the real Mr Manu of course, though I wish!, only kidding hubby is lovely), any-way Mr Manu decided to cook steak, think I will be sucking on steak for the next 3 hours

.... especially the adorable Eve! Ahhh. It must've been that second tin of lima beans, eh, dum-dum? Water births are great (I assume the induction didn't go ahead). When I had my first it was still quite unusual to "go the distance" and actually give birth in the pool. As it was a requirement of Midwifery training to witness this I was bestowed in the final few minutes of a whole host of fishing-net-waving student midwives all craning over the edge. All quite emotional and teary. I hope dumette's experience was everything she wished for and Eve is sucking like a good'un. Congratulations!

They have that in a lot of bars and clubs in major cities over here. I'm surprised it hasn't spread to Hull yet, it's usually Somalis in Leeds, I always feel quite sorry for them having to spend all their time in the toilets. They only ever have horrible perfumes though so I don't give them my patronage.

Central Park is great, we had a classic NY Sunday, went for a big massive pastrami sandwich, well, a Reuben is what I usually have and then went to The Met, fell asleep in a Caravaggio lecture and then sat watching people play baseball in Central Park.

I really wanted to go to see the Yankees, before we went I had tickets on hold on their web site. I rang Ms. Terrorist to ask if she wanted to go, she replied; "What are The Yankees?" We didn't go.

I'm not all that fussed for going this time as I'm the sort of person that likes to go to different places (although I do have a big Italy weakness) but we're meeting up with some friends of ours that emigrated to Canada four years ago and we try and see them every year. NY is about half way for us all.

I've heard they go to Harvester for the early bird 5pm-7pm set menu special, and get a pitcher of sangria, each, to go with their "Surf n Turf". Then MR gets out the game kit he prepared earlier, (little cards with each of our names on in a bag), they draw three out at a time each and play that "shag/kill/marry" game. I'm top off the "kill" table by quite some distance apparently. I can't tell you how I know this, but I "just do".

Gringo's in Huddersfield gets good reviews on Tripadvisor - I've not been, though. Cocina's in Bradford (Manningham) used to be very good, but I'm going back 12+ years.

I really like Harvesters, I just don't like knowing how many calories are in everything I choose. Really puts me off my pudding.

I love Bet Lynch but tbf I would feel more comfortable dressed as Ena than Bet.
