However, you took my post out of context. I don't criticise anyone for coming to the decision that Club Rovers is not for them or not cost effective for them.
My point is that our friends across the River are attempting to make capital out of the fact that people will make additional purchases from which Rovers will profit. Well, golly gosh! Who'd have thought you could accidentally put money into your club? Scandalous.
I somehow doubt that anyone is going to go out and buy that Dell laptop if they weren't already wanting one. [size=50I seriously doubt that anyone wants one.[/size But anyone who does is going to see it as a plus that the club will take a cut.
For me personally, the Roving Far and Wide option makes good sense. Your situation may be different and I fully respect that.

There was a mess up on my Teamcard, I got sent a junior card, not a student concession. I've tried sorting out but my new teamcard will not be here in time for when I want to buy the majority of my Christmas shopping off of play.com. Does anyone know if I can still get points on my account even if I'm a junior, or can juniors not collect points?

for me to join club rovers they would have to pay me and as we all know the club aren't exactly in a good financial position.

And you couldnt pay me enough money to wear a bloody green "unisex" jumper" !!!!

Nice to see a lot of supporters have already earned hundreds of points, i'm not surprised Rovers joined a queue of big name teams in other sports by joining up and the fans are certainly seeing the advantages.

The main difference seems to be that Rovers charge £60 for the privilege whereas most other clubs give a teamcard to their season ticket holders for free.

Brilliant! I've got one and I'm not even a season ticket holder.

Have you been in contact with "most other clubs" to verify your statement?
Are the Hull FC season ticket holders happy with their teamcards?

Looking at the different companies has anyone joined casino websites where it says you get 1000 points just for joining? If so is it as simple as it seems? As that is pretty good

You could use the websites of some of the 16 or so clubs signed up to teamcard and see for yourself. Some charge a nominal fee, most seem to offer it free to season pass holders.

They get frozen season ticket prices for two years, a half price derby ticket and a host of other goodies aswell.

That is good value then.
