| Have to admit, watching the game yesterday I was disappointed that we still don't have Watt's and Taylor. Having said that, it just wasn't meant to be for both players with us at the time they left the club.
I'd take Shaul every day of the week, love that lads progression.
Houghton, what can you say, he's always played well against us and for season after season has made a ridiculous amount of tackles week in week out. Add to that his great scoots, great player.
I remember Sneyd playing a very early game / could have been his debut at The Willows, he came on and played hooker and scored a very pacy try, looked quality and is. When you're not playing against us, I love that run to the left stick and inside no look kick play for Minicello that everyone has fallen for.

Don't agree at all.our last 5 games have been won lost not in front row which imo is well matched or backs which if all fit (big if) we edge.it's ellis and Minichello they are the heartbeat of the team our back row is pop gun yours is scud missile.Iike Minns and Thornley as centre pairing just need 2 international quality 2nd rowers (if we have the dollar?).We aren't far off given fitness .as for Fonua he was waste of quota space as recent as June. .In own fans words sport is hard to predict

Is that a joke bench? 2 2nd rowers, 1 prop and a hooker who won't get on unless the MOS elect gets injured? And as much as I don't really rate tuimavave, a 2nd rower at 6? Surely kelly is the best option? He'd have a field day alongside a decent SH and behind a good pack

Yes I would Jake just my opinion Mantallato might not be the fastest but is great in the air brings the ball back well and kicks the goals so more all round for me

Can't disagree with that. In a combined dream team him and Talanoa would be the wingers.

| I really don't get this view that Taylor treated the club or fans badly at the time of his leaving. He was offered a contract, chose not to sign it and went to Wigan which was and is a bigger and better club to further his career.
He has of course been a complete bell end ever since but that's a different matter.

Fair comment, and walker would probably get a bench spot but that's it, no one else is good enough to displace his counterpart in the Hull side

Plus you got a big fee for him. He has subsequently moved to a club who have won more trophies than wigan have since he left and who sit higher in the league so bettered himself again

Lunt would probably be 2nd hooker if Houghton didn't play the full 80 and Blair would probably get in as if say he's better than your stand off and is a good SR but that's about it

We only play with 1 hooker but if we went with 2 we'd have to take lunt I guess as we have no 2nd hooker ourselves. blair wouldm't get anywhere near the back row and I'd take kelly if I had to have a half from rovers but would stick with tuimavave personally as he fits better with how we play

Trophies, plural? Getting a slightly ahead of yourself there.
That said, there has been a grim, steamroller inevitability to your progress for a long time this season, and I wouldn't bet against you being right by October.

Much as I'm keen for us adopt a much, much, much more aggressive, one-dimensional, flattering by imitation approach, there is still the issue that some players are just inherently [itoo[/i Hull FC. Like Cro Magnon man, they're robustly built, but the suspicion remains that [isomething[/i is missing. See this article, with a picture of hirsute lad who could probably play 80 minutes at 9 and make 1000 tackles a season, for further details:

Wouldn't say it to his face though, would I? No.
I'd be all like 'Hey Danny, how's it going? I didn't know you knew Andre!'
https://mathildasanthropologyblog.wordp ... nd-africa/
And then he'd be like, 'Look at your team, now back to me, now back at your team, now back to me. Sadly, your team doesn't win like me, but they could play like me if they used the Old Pies playbook. Look down, back up, where are you? You're in the middle 8s, with the teams your team plays like. What's in your hand? Back to me, I have it, it's two tickets to that thing you thought you would like but which turned out to be mildly traumatic. Look again, the tickets are now my man of steel award. Any thing is possible with the Old Pies playbook... I'm on an open top bus.'

| Theres only one player Rovers have who would improve our team at present that's Kelly, but he would have to get fit and have a proper pre season, think he would flourish with Syned other than that no one.
Josh or Ken do not bring the ball back as affectively has Talona or Michaels Fona and Yeaman are better than you have in attack and defence and all our forwards and Hooker are a league above yours and probably on a lot less money, considering your paying out full cap its hard to see where your spending the money

Got to disagree but you watch your team all season and see a couple of our games and vice versa see to me Kelly has been average this year with the odd good game and Sio is a class above your wingers and I'd put Thornley above yeaman but it's all about opinions

| In the true fashion of GR, i've done a video for my Hull FC friends, it went down well on Sunday night after their return from our national stadium. I was going to keep it exclusive to the bin, but Mrs G persuaded me to share it. I hope Sammy doesn't mind. If it gets removed because of the YT connection, PM me and i will supply the link...
