Just wanna say, big tony has been our best mid season signing in our SL era just behind Dobbo. He's been epic for us, so consistent.

Heart was in my mouth with twenty to go. Over the moon with this result.

Its a pity he wont play 1 more season,he's been outstanding.

Got away with winning a game when we only played for 40 mins. A lot of guts and class finally prevailed.

All about the points today. We were shocking and didn't deserve to win but hey ho, we now have breathing space. Beat Fax next week and we can rest a few at Widnes.

Leigh have blown a huge opportunity today and it could really cost them. If they couldn't beat us on that showing, then I suspect the gap between SL & Championship is a little larger than many suspect.

Cockayne was therefore perfectly entitled to pick up the ball. The fact that he was so shocked that an offence hadn't been committed that he required Lunt to remind him he actually had to put the ball down over the line tells you all you need to know about his intellect.

I actually thought the reason Cockayne didn't put the ball down immediately was to wind the clock down even further (if it wasn't to be given), every Leigh player had given up so there was no need to rush to put it down!

Thought our SL status was in serious doubt when i'd seen Kelly was out. But after today, winning when we were very poor in the first half and average in the second. An still won! Pretty confident we'll stay up comfortably now.

My major concern is the CC final without Kelly. It was a big ask even with him, but without.......

I've been telling a friend of mine i don't expect any SL side from this season not to be in SL next season because i didn't think a championship side could match a SL team on fitness. What i have been saying is Leigh are a professional side playing amateurs (bar 1 or 2 others) week in week out so they are going to win. Alright, they beat wakie and salford but at the time they couldn't buy a win. Rovers where out on their feet today first half, Leigh threw all they had at us in the 1st half and to be honest, i thought we had blown it and my theory was right out of the window. Thank f that Rovers proved my thinking right. Leigh...not lost at home for 2 yrs, Leigh not lost at home for 30 games...Leigh had 2 weeks rest on us...Leigh at full strength as far as i am aware...Leigh home support driving them on...Rovers away record shocking, rovers out played in first half...rovers 18 points down at half time...yet...second half, Leigh looked knackered and Rovers just did what they had to. I might be eating my words after game 7 but after today, if Leigh couldn't take a really under performing SL side at home then they won't be in SL next season.

PS, i thought Leigh where great in the 1st half, some really fantastic play and tries, a pleasure to watch, entertaining rugby which is what this great game of our is all about.
