I think Rovers should have put some effort into marketing this game. You won't get 10k gates until you start getting some media coverage.

IMO the biggest limiting factor against Rovers getting 10k gates is the stadium, once the East stand is extended and (hopefully) a new North stand then I'm sure we'll be averaging 10k with 12k+ for big games

You wonder why we're on here making remarks when you've bleated on about what a high profile, box office draw, signing Mason is and yet clearly your attendance doesn't reflect that. Is the problem you just don't have that many people wanting to follow Hkr or perhaps people view Mason as a decent addition to your forwards but not really going to make that much difference to your team?

I dont think the east stand will produce many more through the gate, once this impressive north stand is done, i reckon we will easy get over 10k

I base this on the fact that when any sporting club in the world improve there facilities 10 fold then attendances increase, your fellow black and whites that went to Boulevard are a prime example, a few thousdand one moment - 15k the next. Which is great for the sport. Same will happen at cas and salford IMO. We will do it on a smaller scale as its on 1 stand but i cant see why we cant get another 2k through the gates

East stand sold out mid week when I went in to get the Salford tickets on sat there was loads ringing up for east stand tickets and the assistants turning em away as they obviously wanted them there, the well sold out and rm stand, when we get the big teams like Leeds Wigan and wire that will boost us to near enough 10,000.

You're taking on £1.9m of debt plus interest to do so, so as long as the famous "due diligence" on demographics and latent fanbase haven't been done by the same people that did the work on Galea's passport, things should be just dandy.

The well was not sold out, plenty of space. They looked plenty of seats in the RM to me. More then half of the north was empty and obviously none in the south.

You're right, in terms of marketing the actual game, we seemed more inclined to milk Mason's arrival in the short term - training/dinners n what not. Maybe we decided his arrival was enough for the game this week. Hopefully we might push our next home game (SKY) against Hudds with a poster on Princess Quay and maybe an offer or two.

We won't get 10k gates until our ground can adequately please 10 thousand spectators.
