I've got a bitey thing biting me whilst I'm asleep. It's the only time it could possibly be happening as it's on my arras, 4 huge bites on my huge white arras. Could it be a spider? Do spiders bite over here?

I sleep a solid 4 hours nearly every day - usually between 3am and 7am.

At royal mail collecting an undelivered parcel, seems no parcels were delivers this week. Bingo queue has nothing on this.

I live in the bush in Australia - I have to check my shoes for spiders before i put them on in the morning (yes, i've been bitten - i've had tarantulas land on my forehead when i'm in bed at night.)

I bet thats fun. Tarantulas don't bite though, do they? They fire s things out of their bums, hurts if you get one in your eye. Or am I thinking of something else? On second thoughts they probably do bite, maybe thats what got me?

You would know if you had been here,its a time warp.

If I'd have know I would have asked my brother to collect it for you, he's a postman.

They bite, but only if you play with them, and they aren't that poisonous. I let them stay in the house because they eat other spiders and they are so big you can't miss them. They keep the little, dangerous spiders away.
We have funnell web spiders here - they are the most poisonous spiders in the world - but they very rarely come inside.

I would need even more psychiatric help than usual if a tarantula landed on my fizzog.

It's that hot you burn to ash in seconds, if you do go out the worlds most poisonous creatures lie in wait at every turn to kill you, some even specifically hide under the toilet seat waiting for you to have a tom tit. Then to cool off you go for a swim, at which point if you're in the sea a shark bites you in two or if it's a river a crocodile grabs you and lodges you under a rock at the bottom until you rot enough for it to eat you.

A mate of mine had a big shellback tick this morning.

The redback spider is Australia's gift to the world.
Apparently they are showing up all over the world.
They are the ones that live under just about everything laying on the ground, and hide under toilet seats.
Big problem in Japan and NZ apparently.

The poor sod would have no chance if I had been on the curry.

I suspect they sent a kid round delivering "sorry we missed you, your parcel is now at main office" cards because they couldn't be bothered, the queue was bigger than a big thing! It was nothing exciting, don't even know why the people that sent it bothered paying the postage costs involved in 'requiring a signature'.

I invested in a new mattress this year as I was getting some bites on my back, Dumette wasn't but I put it down to my blood being better or the bugs feeling sorry for her? We got a memory foam one because the info on them reads well regarding dust mites and the like, basically they can't exist in memory foam. The first few nights I woke up in the morning aching as my bones moved back into a more natural position, now though, I wouldn't swap it - great nights sleep all around.

I read somewhere that the worlds most poisonous spider, for some reason, doesn't have the ability to bite and use its venom, technically the funnel web is second most poisonous.

Why are some little tasks so difficult?
Replacing the empty toilet roll on the holder with a new one, rather than Reston the new one on the towel radiator or taking snack wrappers to the bin instead of leaving them on the chair arm.
