| The only way CP would get a game would be if the new north stand is finished, the south has some sort of permanent stand built and the KC is unavailable for another game. Then maybe the RFL would want to have a game in Hull.
Personally think they'll use some of the smaller new stadia like the keepmoat.

The KC had a capacity of 75000, Rovers had folded, Skirlaugh were playing at Craven Park, Agar was revealed as Hetheringtons love child, James Rule began legal action against Paul Cooke and Justin became head coach at Hull Dockers after they had their SL licence approved.
Yeah i know hard to believe, but all are more likely to happen than CP being a World Cup venue.

Some of the games from outside the Aus-NwZ-Eng-PNG group in the 2008 competition, were played in small, simple stadia and though crowds were far from embarrasing, these small, simple stadia were generally not packed out.
Nobody is saying CP should host England vs Australia. But a bijou ground would be better for Lebanon vs Tonga.

Somewhere like Featherstone Rovers ground would be better for that type of game. I see no draw for Craven Park whatsoever.

Do you think more people would turn up at Featherstone for a game like Lebanon vs Tonga than at Craven Park?

Aye, perhaps. If the only game Hull got (because surely Hull will get one game) was the Cook Islands vs Fiji, (maybe because Duffen didn't want a game or, or the big England games went to Wigan, Leeds/Huddersfield and London), I think CP would be suitable despite, or in terms of capacity [ibecause[/i, it is inferior to some alternatives.
Tbh, having just estimated the number of games there will be and considering the Celtic nations and France might play some or all games at home, CP isn't a obvious choice - unless Duffen is in an anti-RL mood.
Leigh and Widnes - on top of the good Stadia in SL will be more than sufficient.

Who knows??
I doubt the attendance would be very high for such a game anyway, no matter where they play. Unless of course, the millions and millions of rovers fans wanted to prove a point

Lancs:
Warrington
Wigan

All to big for group games that include smaller nations.
The grounds I think will be used are
Eastish
Donny's Keepmoat.
Westish.
Leighs Sports Village.

| Any WC game in Hull should be capable of drawing 12,000+ if well marketed so it would have to be at the KC. Sorry everyone but our ground is simply not WC standard and no I don't think it will be by then (though I hope I'm wrong!)

Why not a PNG game at Craven Park to draw in the neutrals against a smaller team.
The KC is likely to be a France v NZ game or something like that. (maybe even an England v France game)
Dont think we will get a big one.

Hopefully Duffen won't be in charge by then then.
Big England games should be in big stadia, e.g. Wembley. Need to sell this one. Small England games should be at KC-sized stadia (same as big non-England games).
The rest should be at Doncaster/HJ/Stobart/Leigh sized stadia. If Craven Park can get upto standard by then, then they should be rewarded with a game. But not in its current state. It's not the image that we need to portray.

| but dont forget by the time this world cup comes along saints/wakey/cas.... and whoever else you want to throw in the basket should have brand new stadiums then. if they do then id be very surprised if they didnt get some of the highly sought after games.
