Wouldn't really be big enough for you (you fat cow)(not really, there's only two of us to your four), it takes a litre of oil so it's only really big enough for two portions of chips, a couple of bits of deep fried brie or maybe two fillets of fish.
There's liking paninis, but liking them enough to have a particular machine?
Just have a toasted sandwich then stand on it, perfect with a red wine and coke.

| yeah I know what you meant.
I think they look quite nice, better than a sandwich toaster & easier to clean.
Quite reasonable price wise too.
I bet you don't make Pasta every day but I'm guessing you have a machine.
I could have cheese & bean Paninis every day.

Such a sophisticated chick. Takes a stylish Italian hot sandwich, and puts baked bloody beans in it.
I do have a pasta machine, this was when I knew things had got out of hand, that and when I bought a ravioli mould.

| Re. Paninis.
Just heat up a heavy solid based frying or griddle pan, split the bread and lay it face down in the pan for a minute. Make up your panini (brie and very thin crispy bacon..yum) press down in the hot pan (no oil or anything) until crisp and coloured, turn it over and press down with a small plate or pan lid until done. Take it from a catering type person it's a lot cheaper and easier than a press unless you are doing several at a time. It's the pressing down that is the important bit. Rare beef, thinly sliced onion and a smear of horseradish, my second favourite.

| Hi roopy, and a happy New Year.
I had a bad Burger King addiction (which was weird because I don't even like them) when i gave up smoking, I'm cured now though, I started smoking again.

Should be a great year.
Knights juniors play their first trials this weekend just around the corner from where i live.
I think they will have forgotton me by now (got thrown out of that club about 20 years ago).
I don't usually eat food chain burgers because road stop burgers are heaps better, but i had to see if their attempt at doing one properly was any good. It's just a normal McDonald's burger with tomato, fried onion, lettuce and beetroot.

Don't know if you have the same thing in England, but Australia got into burgers from about the 1930s, and our own variation is very different to American style burgers.
Road stop cafes are the best place to get them.
Basically a toasted bread roll with proper minced beef bound together with just egg, fried onion with a small amount of vinigar, tomato, lettuce and beetroot for the basic burger, but optional extras include fried egg, bacon, cheese and pineapple.
I generally have a 'works burger' - which is one with everything.
McDonalds have come out with a McOz burger, which is supposed to be like a real one, but it isn't.

Doesn't it come with an obligatory vanilla slice, or something?

A proper Australian hamburger is a decent meal - bit of lean beef, some bread, some salad - it gets a bit unhealthy when you start adding cheese, bacon, egg, chips and coke.
Most places in Aus will do the same burger with steak or fish for the same price which makes it healthier.
The fast food places fill them full of fat and sugar, but the basic concept of a burger can be healthy if you avoid the options.

from Wimpy in the Popeye cartoon.
before McDonalds every town had a Wimpy burgers - but they weren't franchises - just people associated burgers with Wimpy.

No it wont, it'll end up in the back of the cupboard with the sandwich toaster and you'll carry on buying 6 litres of lemonade for a £1 at Asda.
