I've defended Sandercock to the hilt until now because he's had some very difficult circumstances to deal with since his arrival.

Some of our attack is top-draw at times hence why we're the best attacking side in the league so far. I also think Sandercock has assembled a very good young and promising squad with some exciting players; some of whom are coming on in leaps and bounds.

Our achilles heel though is our poor discipline and poor resilience in defence and even though they are not coachable factors, it can't be ignored that they are both trends concurrent with the current coach.

A first team player told me Sandercock has much better ideas than Morgan and is a better coach but he said that Morgan struck fear into the players so maybe they felt less at liberty to give away needless penalties with getting shouted at.

It has come to the point now though, that our players have to understand that unless they switch on for full games, then the coach they respect so much, will lose his job and it will be their fault.

That is what is happening but I doubt Sandercock expects us to go out and lose

Agree 100%. Plus Sandercock would probably walk if Hudgell undermined him by even suggesting another coach to help out. Keep him on his own or get rid. Unless Travis Burns is literally superman I think it might be the latter.

I think you're all being unfair on Sandercock. He must be doing something right, because your attack has improved. He was appointed by your management as an untried first team coach. Some people are just no 2's and it looks like CS might be in that bracket.

Or as a chairman you sit him down and show how we are defending and ask him to explain why after 12 months we are worse now then ever.
When he can't you ask him if he would rethink his defensive coaching setup.
I would then point out that offensively we are the best in the league and that he is brilliant at that side of the game.

That performance was a number two!!!

Sandercock is either a great offensive no 2 coach or he needs a great defensive no 2 coach.
It's one or the other

Yet another game where we have conceded over 30 points and it is getting very tiresome, and being as good as we are with the ball makes it even more frustrating. It has been going on for far too long and Sandercock really needs to get a grip on it once and for all.

I'm not one for getting rid of coaches halfway through a season so if it isn't sorted by the end of the year then it would be time to get someone else.

Watched the NRL for years and said the same when they/you (not sure) signed him.

It is, but we might as well score 4 than 34 if we are going to concede 38. I just think hes had long enough and nothings changed with regards to defence. Lets not waste time and wait to lose another few matches and fall behind the playoff places by too much. Nice guys finish last as they say

But we are 11th and the 3rd worst defensively. Id be interested to see where we are on the penalties conceded table, probably top of that too
