How can the people in power in this country be so short of common sense.

I do remember when I had my first, my boss at the time had just had his 5th (!) and said "I won't give you any advice, but get her in a bedtime routine (play, bath, story, feed, bed) early. Obviously one day old is a [itad[/i early, but it served us pretty well after a few weeks. And enjoy every second of it. Whilst you may be worn out and sleep deprived, they really are only little for five minutes and it's a magical time.

I don't really have a look a likey, but I do love spotting them in strangers.

Someone once said (this was years a go) that I looked like Jonny Depp, unfortunately I bear absolutely no resemblance to him, they were a munter that was trying to pull me.

Another time someone said I looked like Bryan Ferry, again, I don't look anything like him, I just had collar length hair that was kind of swept back in a French fop kind of thing.

Aye got to admit they appear not to be the brightest, why trash and terrorise on your own doorstep for a pair of trainers is beyond belief really.

The pictures where his hat is obscuring his painted on eyebrows or when he's got sunnies on, they are more like me. Obviously I don't mean..."if I shave the top of my head, dye the sides grey, put some half rimmed glasses on and pull my bottom jaw in as far as I possibly can, I look just like Sven".

When he's on the telly, he looks alot more like me (or me like him) wish I had his money!

Yeah, I saw that recipe but it's going to be a side to some lamb chops.

I'm not a big fan of stuffing veg, other than marrow, it always seems a lot of faff for no great return.

Off to New York at the end of October to meet up with some friends. We've been before in 2004 and as 9/11 had happened the year before lots of things were closed, such as you couldn't go up the Statue of Liberty.

I was correct. Chicken (allegedly spicy) Chimichangas, (I got that because I like the name) very average.

Basically a big stodgy parcel containing bland rice with some not very spicy strips of chicken and then a pot of sour cream, bland salsa that had once glanced at a chilli and guacamole that I could make better in five minutes.

Yes it was. I got married in Mexico in 2002 and flew back on the first anniversary of 9/11. Never seen security like it at an airport.
As an aside, Mrs R.B.A had her wedding dress in a suitcase that was filled with polystyrene balls. I did pass this information on before airport staff opened the case and flooded the floor with tens of thousands of the little things.
