Llandudno was just lovely. Most genteel British seaside resort I've ever been to. Scenic, no cr@ppy candy floss stalls along the front, lovely Victorian houses lining the promenade, lots of nice restaurants and cafes and if you go up the Great Orme (brilliant name for a big hill) - on a cable car -you can see Snowdonia. Seriously lovely. I am a pensioner in all but age.

I'm on day 2 of my hangover, it's really not good. It's not fair I stuck to cider all night long, my headache was so bad Sunday morning that it woke me up. It's no fun being a veggie with a hangover, none whatsoever.

As a student at Liverpool Uni we had to survey the Great Orme as part of our Civil Engineering study and produce a proper topograghic map of the "mountain".

We had proper traditional chains, theodolites and levels and spent the day-times of one week up the Orme and the night-times composing our findings into the map. I was stuck for most of the week with a student who constantly wore a balaclava and shouted the numbers and findings in a beautiful welsh voice. To this day I have no idea what the owner of the beautiful voice looked like. Probably best not to know.

I remember that week with great fondness. As one of only 3 women within a year of 70 odd engineering students (it was the 80s, females were still considered pioneers), it was the week us ladies were finally accepted as three of the lads, probably because the cold and fresh air meant we could consume as much food and drink as the best of them, and sing as loudly too.

It is, indeed, a beautiful place.

I've not eaten meat for about 3 years now, before that I only ever ate chicken. I've only ever had steak twice in my life & I've never even tried Bacon or Lamb.
It's not for ethical reasons, I just don't like the texture or the taste of it. I can't even eat certain yoghurts or jelly sweets because of the gelatine, the thought of it makes me feel sick.





That would have finished me off. Mr baldhead had to stop twice on the way home so I could be sick.
I tried having a Strongbow at the game yesterday, but that didn't go down too well at all. I'm just going to stick with my redwine & cokes in future.
