Let's get you up to speed. As you can tell, there is some confusion over this new scheme that Rovers have "launched". I say launched, what I really mean is:
Announced at a match
Handed out fliers
Announced on the website, initially without any supporting documentation
Added said documentation
Issued 5 separate clarifying articles on the website
Had the genius behind the scheme on the radio to explain himself 2 and a half weeks later in order, to quote GML this afternoon "answer all these queries", as clearly 25 pages of this thread hasn't managed to do that.

In a nutshell, it's "Give us £60 now" to:
Avoid a +24% increase in season pass prices in September/October
Get £10 off a replica shirt (assuming Rovers have a supplier that will deliver in time for Christmas and that the shirts are washable without turning pink)
Get £10 off a KC derby ticket in year's time
Get a special membership card in November

Don't know why, in the face of that overwhelming value proposition, and the timing of cash outflow vs benefits being realised, there's any debate or confusion at all.





In other "news", FC have reached new levels of crapness, shipping 40 points vs Cas who also had 5 tries disallowed.

We've missed you. Mild Rover, Gordon Gekko and Bandito apart, it's a sport-free zone on here. Get in the Roving Far and Wide scheme though. You get an unbelievable amount of stuff, match DVDs etc for £60. Think someone's got their sums wrong.

Been told today that it got mentioned on the radio this afty that members will also get free membership for soccer sensations (gym etc.) anyone know about this?

That would be a great deal - free annual gym membership worth upwards of £192. Might get a bit crowded in there though with 6,000 extra members.

so regardless of anything else you will save over £80 over the next 2 seasons on season passes alone(ok over £20 after you have paid the £60)

Because without this stupid scheme....we should have been getting most of these "benefits" as we have in previous years without having to stump up £60

No you would of got a discount on your pass, wouldnt of got any of the other stuff, but whos to say we havent just been lucky with getting a pass cheaper the earlier we get it. Times change - i still think in the long run its a good idea.

Sorry petal, run us past that £80 saving again.

You'd have got 10% discount on everything (except tickets) in the club shop as a member of the RSG - cost £10. You also got £5 off your pass with that too.

Reckon the RSG will struggle for members this year.

I've registered both my children, but neither me or my husband will be resgistering simply because we won't have the money to pay for passes before the end of September. So what happens if my kids get an East Stand pass and we can't? Also, the 'special members only' events - will my kids be allowed to go on their own?

You can't assess the value of 2011 benefits until you know what the 2011 membership fee is.
