Being to see the Ape film.....It was great, well not the best film in the world but great if you are a fan, Caesar was adorable but as predicted it all went wrong.
It gave the story of how it all began, usual stuff, basically humans were looking for a cure, cure made ape intelligent made human ill/dead...Apes got it together in the pound, broke out wrecked the city on their pursuit to the forest to get some more monkeys/apes together, they could talk by the end..Humans started dying.
Expect next saga next year.

Depends what you like, most RL fans seem to be of the rock oeuvre.

At the moment I'm quite into The New Town Kings, proper Jamaican ska, Betty Wright, old skool seventies soul, King Tubby which is dub and of course, the fabulous Gil Scott-Heron, RIP.

Friend of mine was in a Ska-punk band - I quite liked it in an avuncular 'got a good (off)beat, this' kind of way. Tell me more about proper Jamaican ska, please - names of famous bands and suchlike. Nothing too outré, I have a reputation to retain.

Scooter Nik on the Sin Bin music thread is yer man, I got into them through him. It's a genre I'm only just starting to explore, he's mentioned some other bands, can't remember them now.

My nephew got his grades in his A levels so he is off to Bath Uni, very pleased about that.
Being invited to Guidhall next Thursday (GCSE results day), as the young one who gets his results is representing his school, reps from all schools I believe. Mayor, dignities and the media are there according to the letter not sure what it is all about tbh but there is a free lunch so we are going, Lad said he is not going unless he gets his grades.
Going to Wembley next week, Fri-Sun looking forward to that
