Much as I love Dublin, I would have to re-mortgage to have a Magic Weekend there, it was 5 Euros a pint last time I was there, and we are talking 6 years ago.

I'd agree but what was halifax doing in the list in the first place, the RFL said all along only one team would be promoted from the national leagues, yet when they announced it was widnes they then put halifax in the group as some sort of consolation prize but richard lewis was telling everybody it was unlikely halifax would get in. was it a contingency if both wakey and the welsh went bang as both were staring down the barrel earlier in the season? it's a true farce in typical RFL style. |

I didn't think they did, it was always 14 teams to be chosen and anybody who met the criterea had a chance. |
