We all know we don't own our own ground. We pay rent but are in charge of all income streams coming into the club and can develop Craven Park how we wish. Take out paying a small rent and we may aswell own the ground. |

So in a nutshell your club does not own its ground !

seems worrying that the club claim that they need crowd of 10,000 avg to break even,yet can't even get that at a home game on a sunny sunday afternoon, with the debut of "the David Beckham of the rugby league world " surely not all the other 2/3 thousand "supporters couldn't all have been at church.  |

=#FF0000This line of trolling has been deemed 'boring' and would be banned under AUP 5.1, if I could be bothered to create an announcement thread.
The ground needs better facilities - this [umay[/u increase crowds and revenue. The covered parts of the ground are generally pretty much full, so the chicken-egg argument that bigger crowds are required to justify extending and improving the ground carries little water, IMO. There is no guarantee that Rovers will hit 10k even when the stadium is finished, but I'm pleased that it looks as though we will at least get to find out. You look at the boosts other clubs have received and it doesn't seem especially improbable to me. It will require attracting 'new' fans though, as I'm not sure the remaining pool of latent support will be big enough by itself. |
