Well, it's not news, as there appears to be none on this topic, but apparently this could now drag on until the New Year. For a "strike force" they don't seem to be very swift.

Can't believe they've not interviewed all the players/agents yet - it's been going on for weeks and they've been to Townsville already. I like the look of that detective with the orange striped tie though - you can tell he's loving the attention, smirking away at the paps. He won't be rushed, he's loving the limelight. |

I can, but this is quite a high profile case and one that's contributing to a potential change in legislation. There may well be nothing to see and no case to answer, but I would think there'll be enough scrutiny to mean this Strike Force group has to actually conclude that rather than simply saying nothing and hope people forget it ever happened and they wasted months of manpower on a pointless investigation. |
