Don't get me wrong I understand the banter and building uo a game most of us would rather not be played but it does set himself to look pretty stupid if it all goes wrong.

If (and it is a big if as I think FC will win) we win, will he then have to come out and say its just a friendly, result didn't matter etc. Its been proved year on year the result of this game means nothing. In fact I'm certain the winner has gone on to have the poorer season every time.

I honestly don't think he will care, as long as it's a good game and he makes some more money for both clubs, he will be happy.

Not known boxers to massively hype up sparring sessions, which is probably like for like with a pre season game.

The analogy probably works better with a boxer hyping up a tune up fight or a new up and coming fighter. Everybody knew that Luke Campbell was likely to stop Andy Harris within a round but a load of people were still enticed to turn up and see it.

If it was restricted to superleague size squads with limited subs,you could call it a proper match.But with the teams changing every couple of minutes the score is meaningless. I'll still go tommorow but not a fan of these games.

It's a meaningless game but I'm looking forward to seeing some rugby again.

We'll see a disjointed performance from both teams possibly more so from Rovers with it being their first hit-out and it being FC's third pre-season match but having said that I still think we'll win because FC are cr@p (with the exception of tent-building and go-karting) and Pearson is an idiot.
