If you check google earth you will see that the pitch is already central between the East and West stand.
If the edge of the north stand is in line with the edge of the East stand it will also have 2 sections
overlapping the touch lines like in the picture showing the sections overlapping the west side of the stand.

And restrict the view even further for us west stand pass holders....................GREAT!

I can see them moving the pitch to compensate for this, which would be a bad PR move.

I don't think it is wrong, it is wrong!!

If the north stand is slightly off centre then, given that there's no point extending it beyond the east stand, the only way you could balance it is by shortening the west side and making the join to the ancillary building a 'filler'. Seats or aesthetics, effectively. I guess you could compensate by going a little higher and further back, but that shifts the rest of the build and either alters its proportions or doesn't match them. And then you're turning down even more extra seats in the filler bit.

You should see me when I have building work done on my house!

If It looks wrong to me I tell them, and get them to do it correctly.

I have a good eye for detail, nothing gets past me, I have had many disagreements with builders.
