Good interview with Chev last night, looking at his career track record I can see him getting backfit and performing to his potential again. Would like to see it with us but think it may be elsewhere. If we could retain him on a 1 year (vastly reduced) contract it could reap the rewards.

Didn't see the program, but Chev is a true gent and a top pro. I hope he can get back playing (if thats what he wants) as i still think he has something to offer. Failing that and again if he wants it, i'm sure coaching will become his goal.

The interview focussed more on his early career with Leeds and GB, subsequent incarceration and move to Bath. They talked about his injury and he seemed determined to get back playing, said people writing him off spurred him on more to get back playing. I could see him leaving and then finding his form and becoming very sought after again. I thought we were seeing glimpses of his form in the run up to his injury and it was unfortunate that he never got to kick on.

He came across well during the interview, even when Carney waded into his time inside he handled it well. At 27, I sincerely hope he has a few years left in him, ideally at Rovers, but if he moves on he goes with my best wishes.

He was, and it seems he understands where he went wrong at Cas. Hopefully he won't make the same mistake again.

I thought the whole programme was pretty good. I hope Chev makes a good comeback (although he couldn't pick a harder game to do it). Not sure how I feel on his long term place, he's clearly got the potential to get right back up there and if he can do it with Rovers then great. We've not seen the best of him though and it's by no means certain we will.

How true is the news that he's signed with us for next year?

Best of luck to him - he deserves some.

Although we never saw the best of Chev walker and didn't get enough out of the club's investment I thought some of the critisism he was recieving from some fans was a bit harsh. He was always in pain but all he wanted to do was pull on a jersey, go out and try his best. I thought when Chev started getting regular game time in the back row we started to see what he could really do. He ran good lines, was hard to stop, was able to offload the ball and put in some big shots in defence. He was far more effective playing back row as due to his size, quicker agile centres were able to get round him quite easily.

According to the Yorkshire Post today Chev turned down a move to the darkside and signed for Bradford instead, along with Dowes who refused a pay cut to stay at the KC.

the guy deserves a huge slice of luck, to come back after that leg break shows great desire so hopefully he can get back to his best, but hopefully not against us. should still get a warm welcome on his return too.

Much as I like Walker I don`t consider it a loss to us t.b.h.
That injury can`t have done him any favours.(still cringe thinking about it.)
As for Ewan,time to move on maybe?
