| Where do you start after watching that? Lazy slow weak clueless spring to mind. Just poor all round.Mulhern tried his nuts off but we were just miles away from competing in defence and attack. Not going to single out the halfs or pack it was all of them. Not sure how we can go from high energy great spirit team to a half d rabble who couldn't do the basics? Massive job for Sheens to turn this round

Didn’t say we wasn’t beaten fair & square. I’m totally peeved with the structure that rewards clubs with survival when coming bottom of the league. I won’t be returning to watch RL next season if we go down again due to this ridiculous structure.
But I will return, tis In the blood unfortunately.

Don't think anyone could say Salford didn't deserve the win tonight? Just at a loss as to how we go from good attractive rugby to being so far off the pace we looked like a team in pre season. Said I wasn't going to single out players but Carney was gash.He wasnt on his own but Atkin McGuire was working well. Why change it? Tomkins won't need a shower after the game. Oakes looked a fair way off again. Mose and Jewitt will score up the middle a bit but we are in the brown stuff again

All teams have patchy games. And tbh the wins against a weak Widnes side and a slumping Hull... well a win is a win, but we’re kidding ourselves if we’re saying they were anything like accomplished 80 minute performances. Scratch team vs Hull, of course but they’re poor currently.
The issue is that in this system, if that patchy performance falls on the wrong day, the whole future of your club is in doubt.
I’m fed up right now. It’s just pain with the odd respite - that’s as good as it seems to get. Emotionally, I want to lash out, but there’s nobody to rationally target. Sounds like we just slipped up at a bad time again. Shizzle, pizzle and plop.
If we get that £500k parachute payment, how about just wazzing it on a massive party?

| We knew what competition we entered in February and we've been the worst ever bitten side of this system since it's inception.
We were very well beaten tonight, and that's a huge worry.
I don't think it was a lack of effort, it's more concerning than that. Lack of being able to carry out a game plan.
Early days in a micro league, can't afford to do this next week, Sheens needs to get us up.

| Missed some real aggression out there tonight. The pack was bullied and Salford were all over us. We were totally over enthused. It was a terrible display when it really mattered. Not good enough. We missed some real grunt with Masoe, Jewitt and Justin Carney(plus Blair) not available. The best team won, but for us although it,s early we could be in real trouble. Just didn,t look up for it tonight and that,s a big big worry.
Absolutely have to win against Toronto, no excuses, and must be up for it from the first second to the last or we will be in the brown stuff.

| as disappointing as it was tonight I still think we will be ok, the carney move looks to have gone wrong we needed a big forward instead for these games , cleary as above average as he has been tickle is finished, he cannot defend but hes not on his own , big misses were masoe, blair and jewitt and add in justin carney a lot of grunt, size and character not available, the widnes and fc wins were against poor sides, we need to step up now and stop reading our own press. massive game next

Did tell you raising your game against the wrong opposition was madness, in a meaningless game “for you” the Derby you calculated wrong, the points were irrelevant to you, you doggedly hung on for what, to be a spent force in meaningful games, bigger battles, the curse of the Derby, it could be your swan song.

| Jewitt and Mose and Blair was missed badly last night and Scruton did far to much running side ways for me .... on thing you have to criticise about the team selection is starting Carney over Atkin if something worked so well why change it as good as Carney may be you have to earn a starting spot and Atkin has done that all season although the speed out of acting half from Atkin was class but id still like to see him start in the half’s not the start we wanted but it’s a wake up call you can’t just think that if you have a better team on paper you will win you have to earn it with hard work like Salford did ...... nervouse about next week now as lose that and we may be in trouble

| Hull kr along with Widnes are now in real danger of relegation, every fixture is so important in the middle 8’s competition, where as rounds 1-23 are meaningless for most.

I still have a feeling they will change it and noone will go down this year, upto 14 next year. As a black and white, I have zero interest in the rest of the season whatsoever, as it stands have no intention of going to any of our away matches which is sad.

Jeez, how many more should we have rested?!
The big difference between this year and 2016, when some decisions were born of complacency almost bordering on willful dipstickery, is that so far this season I think Rovers have got more right than wrong. Without so many injuries to our best handful of players we might even have nicked 8th. When it became clear we wouldn’t, we brought in reinforcements.
But there’s very, very little margin for error in the shizzle 8s. Leeds at Headingley, with all that means, is going to be ‘tough’ so we’ve got basically none now. Going down again would probably be worse than last time, despite the parachute payment. The only consolation would be that, to me and by itself, it’d just feel unfortunate. Poop can happen.

| we wont merge end of, on a different note bad results for both teams last night, we have had 2 really good seasons and a poor one this year albeit injuries have played a part, you also have had a poor season again partly due to injuries, yet don't see many calling for sheens head ? you would think we where in the middle 8s and you where in the top 8 if you didn't know and looked at this forum, not a lover of this system and hopefully will be scrapped,

We agree to differ on your choices for the Derby selection, you would certainly had Bobby playing, and perhaps a fresher Danny Tickle especially at his age, top performances don’t come every week. The Derby curse, just when you think your out, it draws you back in.
Good luck with the remaining fixtures, you will probably win more in the run in than our spent team.

Performance relative to expectation, innit? Sheens inherited... well not much really. The roots of our problems predate him. He’s done a good job. If we get relegated this year, then as I say it’s just one of those things - I don’t think there’d be much justification for blaming anyone. Just our current situation and the way this system ‘works’.
For Hull, the danger might be that you end 2018 in a way not too dissimilar to how we ended 2012. It can be hard to regain momentum once it is lost.

| Hate this stupid competition..in effect a mini league where if you have a temporary bad run or get on the wrong end of a crappy decision in a crucial match you get relegated. Over a full season if you finish BOTTOM you should get relegated, if you finish TOP of your league you should get promoted, simple simple simple...too simple for the RFL. God forbid we go down again. I am thoroughly peed off.

| First of all let me say I am a Bradford supporter.
Clearly HUll and HKR should NOT merge. What would be gained? far from combining 2 well supported clubs you would end up with one club of indeterminate support. The new guy in charge of SL has said that SL clubs whilst appointing him may not like some of his decisions. He wants SL clubs to build their support and have a large profile in their area. This is something that both clubs clearly have. Salford on the other hand clearly struggled before their move and even more now. Manchester has shown it has no appetite for our game even to the extent that Salford FC and FC United have built up considerable followings whilst starting from scratch.
