at the end of the day we know were we have gone wrong with players. and we signed them cos its what kr could afford at the time.. and getting rid of them is easier said than done.. but i think the board knows and realize fans wont keep renewing passes if things don't change a question i have got does anyone know when our quota players are out of contract.. i think kelly going think allgood OOC but don't know if anyone else is we need big frank pritchard style players.. but also reports are saying we are after hussell a centre kiwi

Yep. although, I do think we've got something to build on and don't need a massive turnover again. A conventional pre-season will make a big difference IMO. You can buy power, but you can also build it.

I think Allgood has another year - and he's gone okay this year, IMO. Kelly and Blair are ooc, but might have options. Basically, I don't know! Don't know much about Hurrell either, but with Salter's shoulder going again, we might need more options in the three quarters.
A fullback, a couple of forwards, and probably a replacement hb, plus a few young 'uns to add depth and play in the reserves I'd hope would be priorities.

You'll have a lot of competition for Hurrell, would walk into any SL side and would have 2/3 NRL offers too if he left Warriors

Poor work ethic last few years, worked really hard this off season and got in great shape but just doesn't seem to fit in Cappys plans. Then there was the sleeping pills and energy drinks thing (although he was just a designated driver)

What's happened to Charlie? Our 7th choice kicker had started to get his eye in. Don't like Marsh at full back, tried once & it was a disaster.

A gutsy performance with tons of effort. We looked well off in attack though.

The Black and Whites fully deserved their victory. 5 tries to 2 says so, but the Naughton try was definitely from a forward pass.

Marsh at fullback is a complete no no for me, as is Horne at centre. However, on the evidence of today, we have a chance of overhauling Widnes, but I back Huddersfield to get out of the bottom 4 come Rd 23.

Happy with the effort, was expecting to have FC rip us a new one. just need a bit of size up front & we will be OK. nice to see a new team up in the top four! just want to see us push forward & upwards.

Academy players don't count

I guess that's what you get when you recruit teh right players, invest in good quality conditioning and medical staff and make sure player welfare and rehab is top notch.

On the other hand, you get plenty of injuries when you sign crocks, skimp on conditioning staff and don't rehab your players properly.

Something I noticed today that shocked me was how down right ugly the Rovers academy products are.

They look like a bunch of extras from Pirates of the Caribbean.

Fair play to Hull and Radford. People said their style was old fashioned and you couldn't win titles that way anymore. He backed his judgement, and right now it's working very well indeed. Don't want to, but I've got to give him credit for that - looks to have been ahead of the curve. If things carry on this way it'll be widely imitated next year and that is the sincerest form of flattery.
There's still plenty of time for them to stumble, but from watching the other teams, there's not too much for them to fear, at the moment. The way trophies are won (discounting the hubcap), means that one poor performance can end your hopes, but they've got a shot this year.

As for us - well Chester backed his judgement too, but that has worked rather less well. 'Big powerful team', has become to Webster what 'team full of internationals' was for Sandercock. But today could have been much worse, so that's a crumb of comfort.

Hull....probably not at their best...were a bit too good for us in the end.

Doesn't mean Rovers didn't stretch them, they did and with a bit better game management at 10-16 might have seen it out.

The better team won, but the difference between 1st and 9th wasn't huge.

Hopefully keep Campo fit and we'll go ok, looks like middle 8s so need to get the squad working on attack, get through them and get recruitment right, didn't think we looked the worst team of the weekend which was what I feared, Leeds and Sts fought that title out.

Had them at 16-10 then ran the kick off into touch and knocked on 1st tackle next set. We were awful with the ball.
Our pack more than matched theirs today. Blair was the best second row on the pitch till he had to go to centre. Lunt was top draw again.

They were well rattled but we were awful with the ball absolutely awful.
Thought Marsh went well at full back after being terrible at Salford.
