I would agree , he's had a few chances but not made the grade.

He often is stand out at NL level though.

Luke George from Wakefield would be a better siging ,he has improved quite a bit from the time I've seen him play.

Spot on. There are a number of our fans on here who seem to think we are still in NL1 with the suggeted signings. Worrincy will never be a SL player while he has a hole in his @rse.

I agree, he's found his level. He is as dodgy under a high ball as Colbon and fox. What a lot forget is that when a player looks very good in NL1 they are playing against NL1 opposition hence looking better than they are. Some may make the move up but a lot will fail.

Not at all, I'd way up all the pro's and cons and look at the history of a player. Theres a reason Worrincy is in NL1 and that is that he's had numerous chances at SL level and not shone. He's dropped a level and looks very good, but against poorer opposition he will do.
David Mills looked great today, big unit, ran in hard, looked to promote the ball, everything we need really, would you sign him?

Chris Hill will be a top forward for Wire and maybe even a future International. There is some real talent in the National League's, Rovers should be circling it.

Nothing, he is a good hard grafting player who can be relied on. The problem with some of our fans is that they think we should have 25 superstars by right and they don't seem to understand that all squads need the no nonsense grafters as well as the superstars. I have often said that if your in a hard game and leading by 6 points with 10 mins left, there is no better player to have than Netherton, but probably not if your 6 down with 10 to go. Horses for courses.

I agree, watching the game at the weekend Netherton did well, put in a couple of good stints and ran the ball in harder and got up faster than Vella. I agree he shouldn't be our starting prop but it's not his fault that our other recruitment is rubbish. It would be great to see what comments we would be seeing about jason if he had been let go a year or two ago and was playing ok in a side like Wakey, no doubt JM would be getting slaughtered for letting him go.
I think the disrespect Netherton gets from our fans, when he shows a very professional manner, does the job he's told to and is a very good club man is pretty poor. Yet if he was a disrespectful idiot he'd be lauded. Quick question does anyone think Netherton gives any less than 100% in any game? I've heard thats all it takes to become a great.

Regarding Worrincy I wouldnt say he was any better than what we already have, if Colbon doesnt get a new deal maybe Worrincy would be cheaper (from the clubs point of view) but frankly if the 'tightening purse strings' is to that extent then we are in trouble. So basically no I dont think he would be a good signing



And as for Netherton he doesnt deserve the stick he gets, its not his fault he gets picked he always gives 100% you can ask any more. He does deserve his place in our squad but i can understand why some people get frustrated when he is a shoe in every week and Cook (dare we go there) cant get a consistent run regardless what he does when selected
