| If Hull win, they've done us a favour.
If Cas win...well.....they've beaten Hull.
So who do you want to win?
Its a no lose situation for me. Although it is difficult to let head rule heart.

| Ignoring drawn matches as a possibility...
If Hull win vs Cas, our game against Catalans actually doesn't matter much - it'll be a straight shoot-out in the last game between ourselves and Cas.
If Cas win vs Hull, beating Catalans means we need to beat Cas [uor[/u Hull lose to Wire. If we lose this week we need to beat Cas [uand[/u get a favour from the Wolves.
A Hull win leaves our destiny in our one hands. But if we could get a result against the Dragons, we'd be in a stronger position if Cas win this week - they'll already be safe when we play them, and Warrington would be a tough must-win for Hull, especially knowing it might not be enough.
Difficult to call.
Winner of Hull vs Cas reaches the play-offs with a week to spare. Theoretically, all 3 could make it if Leeds collapse.
Does anybody have an email for Eddie and Stevo?

The Wire game has a twist of it's own. If Wire beat Pies then they will be looking to beat Hull to keep 1st and grab the league leaders shield, if they lose, though, they are 3pts behind the Pies and the game against Hull is merely 'playing for form' on Wire's behalf and Hull will probably go out more determined and turn them over.

| Hull win & it's in our hands.
If this ends up a draw I'd be asking to see Long & Gleesons William Hill accounts

| A real dilema this one, particularly as we kick off in France at almost the same time. I'm working on the asumption that we will lose this weekend (natural pessimist and missing our form player), so in order to keep a hold on our own destiny, I have to back the unthinkable - Hull to win!
However, if we look likely to win, and as we have started 15 mins ahead of Cas/Hull, then my allegence reverts to type and hope Cas bury them. It may be too late by then.
I need a wash.

| Simple answer is if we win both matches we're pretty much assured to go through.
Will be a really odd feeling sat watching FC and being almost happy if they win. Of course the ideal is that we win both matches and they miss out, just can't see it happening tho.

Its not beyond the bounds of possibility. If we lose v Cas I can't see us picking ourselves up for Wire.

| My head hurts just thinking about the possibilities.
1pt behind Hull (big points difference which means we need 2pts on them)
2pts behind Cas (big points difference in our favour, level on points would see us above them)
FC win, We lose- Cas/KR game decides who gets 8th as a straight shootout.
FC win, we win- FC are safe and again its a straight shootout between Cas and Us, which if we win and Wire win means we would get 7th and FC get 8th.
FC lose, We lose- Cas are safe and we have to beat Cas next week and hope Wire do us a favour.
FC lose, We win- Cas are safe, we are 1pt in front of FC, then last game we win and we put cas into 8th and we get 7th. Or we lose last game and FC win against wire they take 8th and knock us back to 9th and take our spot.
Someone tell me if im correct on the above....

The big factor in this is if Wire lose on Sunday they would effectively have nothing to play for against an FC side fighting for their season to continue. I can see FC beating wire comfortably if wire on Sunday.

| First and foremost, I wish Wire vs Wigan was on the Friday, to give us a definate indication to how Warrington are gonna line up against Hull.
FWIW, I think Wire will turn Wigan over anyhow, leaving them with a must-win against Hull in the last fixture to win the minor premier (Wigan have Crusaders, so that's almost guaranteed a win).
On Hull v Cas, the easiest situation is probably a Hull win, which leaves us needing to beat Cas to gain 8th most likely.
So, on that basis a Hull win, obviously a Rovers win and a Warrington win is on the cards.
A treble bet on them 3 anyone ??

You are correct but Leeds are still in the mix dependant on how they take their cup defeat, if they lose over the weekend they are teetering on the edge of missing out on the 8.

| I think we can realistically rule out Leeds in contention though, come on, Wakefield at home?
If the ridiculous does happen, they're right in the shmuck having Huddersfield away as their last fixture!!

Wakefiled do have a reasonable record against Leeds and we've seen ourselves how deflated a team can be coming off the back of a hard cup defeat, especially when Leeds will feel they have missed there one real chance of silverware. Its a long shot but far from cut and dried.

| Hull win is best for us. I can see Wigan beating Wire and then FC facing a much weakened Wire side, so its best if FC are in the 8 before we go into the last weekend. We will beat Cas on the last day.
