With Cox shipped off to Huddersfield for a month it got me thinking about deals between Rovers and Hull. Obviously we've had a few move in permanent deals but I can't remember any players involved in loan deals. Anybody throw a few names into the mix, if any.

Did Watts go initially on loan or did we just release him so he could join them

The only thing he may be wrong on is that walker is probably more than 3 times the player. Watts has the attributes to a very good player just doesn't seem to have the application to do it in anything more than isolated games. Everywhere he's been he's started like a house on fire and steadily slid into mediocrity.

It won't have been £50k - in RL terms that isn't a nominal fee. £100k gets you a desirable halfback.

I remember a rumour that only Hull offered any cash at all - £10k was suggested. That was why we took the slightly unusual step of selling to them, as the other option was giving him away.

The rivalry, makes loan deals unlikely between HKR and HFC. Plus, in terms of SL, both have borrowed a fair bit more than they've lent. I'm struggling to think of many players either have sent out on loan to other SL clubs. Eden went to Salford, young Cunningham to London, and there's probably a few others. Hull used to take on a lot of Leeds kids to fill gaps, under Kath Hetherington, but have moved away from that.
A player going there for a month and coming back would just feel a bit weird - I know in some ways they're just another club, and it'd be convenient, but even still.

Watts has the potential but puts 50% effort in, Walker puts 100% all the time.

If this is true, then Walker is undoubtedly the worlds best prop. On the bright side, it will be another £100k in the bank on a transfer fee.

Not the world's best, just one of the best in Hull.
