There was a big woman having a right Jeremy Kyle style attitude with the stewards to Be fair atbone point it was better watching that than the game

only kidding I couldn't watch the game half the time cos of how close it was, expected more fans than that from cas I wud say 200 from cas

I think the same 2 get thrown out every year, and in respect to the Cas turnout, I can only suggest with it being on Sky and perhaps not many of us had confidence in getting a result, to be honest I was expecting a spanking.

Be honest would you break you neck to watch a virtual reserve grade side play at a dump, when you can get a better view in the comfort of you own home??

Yes, I remember going to Leigh to watch us get spanked when we played a reserve / academy side in our promotion season because we were resting guys for the play-offs.

Also, I don't get all the stick about our ground, how the hell can we be awarded a 'B' if our ground's a 'dump'? This isn't a dig at you mate, I just find it baffling. CP is a lot better than the Jungle and Belle Vue for a start. If the game had been at Cas last night we'd have took 10x what they brought, it's just not good enough, and IMO both Hull clubs still don't get anywhere near the credit and respect they deserve for their away followings. E.g. Wire brought 2000 to Hull on Friday (which is very good), but if it'd been the other way round with Hull chasing the League Leaders Shield I reckon they'd have took at least double that to the HJ.

I'm certainly having a rethink about the amount of away games I go to. We're swelling other clubs coffers and it's not being reciprocated.

True. I said the same when we were in the lower leagues and really struggling for money.

I'd rather put money into Rovers than spend £80-£100 on a trip to Huddersfield (for example). 1000 Rovers fans must put £25K plus into other clubs coffers on game day, if we had similar number coming to support their teams at CP it wouldn't be an issue but when they bring 2-300 it's a bit galling.

I know it is only my opinion but what has any other teams following got to do with our support of our team? Craven park is our ground & we support Rovers any visitors is an add on. Why get hung up on numbers if you enjoy the game, great! if not why worry? I go to all the games I can because I support Rovers & 50% of our games are away. It is an unhealthy aspect of our game that we are ready to slag off other teams & supporters instead of worrying about what we do.

The point is that we're (both Hull clubs) making a significant contribution to the finances of rivals and in many cases it's not being returned, so our clubs are losing out financially.

No we get what we get. Other clubs have no obligation to turn up at our ground, away support is not part of licensing requirements. It is a business we are customers if you choose to shop away from home fine but it is not our place to slag off people who dont.

Then I hope more paying customers from this area decide not to travel. Not good for the game as a whole but, hey ho.

Going to a game (wherever it is) is 1000% better than watching on Sky. You ought to try it sometime

Probably to do with all the games we have lost recently, we have been in decline since we lost all 3 of our props. No matter what anyone says fans aren't going to pay £20 for a poor view to see a team low on numbers and confidence. If you had 10 players out and got the same amount of points put on you as we've had I very much doubt you would have taken 2000 to Cas

Didn't take many to Wakey? Cas were close to outnumbering Wakefield fans at that game. Oh and the Wigan game you also mentioned on the Cas board...that game was played mid week on TV with 3/4s of the side out, of course that wasn't going to get a massive crowd.



Spot on, I don't think KR have ever taken more than 2000 to Cas either, they just massively over inflate the number of fans they take to away games for some bizarre reason.

Rubbish isn't it. I'm sure other teams think Hull is several hours away, when in fact the stretch between Cas and Hull has to be one of the quietest stretches of Motorway in the country (at any time of the week)

We are moving our games back to Sunday's next season, yet I doubt we'll see any more than the usual coach full from certain teams.

lots of fans use poor faclities as an excuse not to visit craven park. but whats the excuse for not visiting the kc.

Well iv'e been going to away games for approx 35 years now and i would beg to differ, there have been many occasions going back as far as the early eighties when Kr would take more than 3000 fans to Wheldon road as it was then known plus many other grounds also, you may not like it but that is a fact.
