Heard yesterday at the match that there will be an u21s side next year in the reserve competition, was wondering if anyone knows anything and could possibly shed some light on this as it would be great if it happened, there is quite a bit of talent in blackpool at youth level would be great for them to have something local to aim for.

anyone any info on this? i enquired a couple of years ago about a reserve side but nobody throught it would be a good idea!

I am sure this is mentioned in the thread re the 17 June club meeting although you will have to follow the links through.
It was also mentioned in one of the trade papers a couple of weeks back.

I think it is a good idea for the club and the area. You could have gary and midge as coaches.

it was discussed at the club forum meeting. one of the lads who plays for scorpions (don't know his name but i speak to him every week and see him in the boston stand sometimes too) said he was hoping to get into the squad. he probably knows more about it. maybe we can steal some ra-ra kids too? its going to have to be an under 20's side though from what i've been reading about proposed changes to academy systems.

There are currently four players from scorpions training with panthers hoping to get in the squad, scoprions have a host of good talent which could be a firm base to start with, building up from there, as I play at scorpions myself I know that these four are pushing for a place in the squad next year, we shall wait and see.
