How many start will the bookies be giving Rochdale? Here's a crude way of looking at it...

Both teams have played nine games. Dons points diff is +146, Rochdale's is - 35. Adding them together gives an advantage of 181 to the Dons. Divide that by 9 and you get 20. How close will this be to the bookies' handicap? I reckon I'd go 26.

Rochdale lost 56-16 at Oldham and 36-18 at Hunslet.

It'd be nice if we could better Oldham's effort... or even match it!

If the Dons handicap is less than 20 I'd be a player. I suspect you are in the right area, probably 24 or 26.

Not able to with Skybet ... after a few decent wins a few years ago, the maximum I'm allowed to win on any bet involving the Dons is £10. So they'd allow £11 to win £10 on the handicap and £80 to win £10 on the win.

The bookies messed me about in the 2000s and restricted me to silly amounts. I only bet on the exchanges these days but they don't have markets for our leagues, sadly.

If we can't beat Rochdale by more than 16, we're going to be underdogs when we play Oldham.

No disrespect to Rochdale but any of the top four sides would have beaten us today.

Not sure what we do without Connor Robinson and Ben Johnston. Heaven help us if they get injured.

about the players handing pressure, if the pressure is self inflicted then they have to sort that out. One thing is beyond argument, start badly at Oldham and we will not recover, the focus has to be from minute one through to eighty. Second spot in the table is at stake and we can ill afford to have our a tardy first forty.

Interesting that Cornwall had the scores tied at half time and had played with just eleven on the park at times. Dewbury pulled away at sixty mins, A very good effort from Cornwall, but to quote a Dewsbury fan it was Cornwalls cup final

I wouldn't have thought the players would have felt under pressure today. If they were, they're going to be off the scale next weekend.

Shocking first half , RH must have stripped the paint from the walls at half time, as the second half was where we need to be if we have an aspirations of promotion.
If we start like that next week then I cant see a turnaround like that against what looks to be our closest promotion rivals.

Certainly made me sweat for the win on the Handicap.

Being there probably wasn't quite as stressful as watching score updates. Providing we got our act together in the second half, it seemed quite clear we'd be too good for them. Once we got the two early second half scores, the preesure came off somewhat.

Beating the handicap still appeared something of a challenge especially when they reduced the deficit with some poor Dons' defending but I was always quite sure we would. I'm glad the handicap outcome wasn't still in doubt at the time Misi stepped up to take the last conversion! It was under the posts though!

I think they announced the attendance at around 1100. Rochdale brought a few but it was a decent turnout. I wonder how many are actually season ticket holders?
