Good news indeed.



As players are choosing clubs for next season already, all League One sides who may be in the Championship next season will no doubt be facing the same difficulties when competing with established Championship clubs for signatures.

Players will naturally want to play at the highest level possible so the attraction of say Batley over Newcastle, Oldham, Hunslet, or the Dons, is obvious even if League One clubs are able to match the wages of the higher league club.

I hope the Dons can attract other players of the right quality to maximise our chances of success next season.

I admire your enthusiasm DM, but can you convince me as a loyal supporter of 35 years,, that no matter who signs who goes who stays, and we must not forget the potential of yet another super dooper D/R deal with Hull that we wont be in EXACTLY the same position as we are today (wrong end of the play offs) next year. I cant see anything changing

I hope you have lots of good info for us D,M, as the fans are deserting the club in droves...I think the fact that for the last 3 or 4 seasons we have ended up in exactly the same predicament as we are now,, as S/O says if we get beat at worky then its a very hard path to promotion. In my opinion the hard core fans are losing faith and are sick of false promises and false dawns, I said in a post a few weeks ago that all the best players would move on to pastures new, and it looks like the rot has already set in... Good luck to all the players for the game and of course a safe trip to any (if any) travelling fans.

Sadly, I'm not privy to any inside information Harworthdon but I do attend the Fans Panel meetings which are attended by Gavin Baldwin and Carl. I too am very concerned that fans are deserting the club in large numbers especially as lost fans may never come back.

would that be the fans meeting that was cancelled at very short notice with no explanation from the club on the official web site. I (and many more fans) feel aggrieved that the lack of info from the club and Mr Hall in particular is p&ss poor the fans put money into the club and should be kept informed more. keep the faith DM and lets hope for better things.

Yes, that's right. The Fans Panel Meeting due on Thursday 29th August was cancelled.

The meetings comprise of Gavin Baldwin, Carl, Ray Green, Shaun Lockwood, Mark Hughesman, and Stewart Piper from the club with several fans in attendance including forum posters Gary (Wanderer) and myself.

I think many fans believe the club's communications need to be better. At recent meetings I have suggested that Carl's weekly In The Dugout should come back as it helps to keep fans informed about general events at the club but my request has been rejected.
