French international scrum-half Remy Marginet has signed for Newcastle to the end of the season. This is a great coup for Thunder who were keen to strengthen their squad as the season gets to an important point. This shows a certain iniative from a club looking to give themselves the best possible chance of better things. Question is of course, why can't Donny show the same ambition ? There are a host of quality players in France, some of whom will soon be free from the French Elite division and free to play in the UK. I would love to see the Dons show a similar willingness to improve their chances.

I will probably never be convinced that in our current guise that we are any more than a two bit outfit.

But we have picked up Mariano ... good ... but lost Harris ... bad.
Net effect ... probably MINUS.

The Oldham game is gonna make or break this bunch.
